Novotel includes it in its creation process, might it concern design, equipment or the teams daily gesture, in order to always be in line with current habits and clients expectations. Through the intern project energize, Novotel wants to propose to its clients modern & easy-living solutions, in line with its sustainable environment s commitment, and thinks about taking them - and also all its collaborators - in this transformation s dynamic. Easy Modernity Boost Performance Easy Life Experience A new bed s concept A new restaurant s concept : Gourmet Bar A new dress-code Technologic al tools that keep developing: enhancement of the wi-fi quality in the whole network, the virtual concierge and a new interactive table. For our sales a new Novotel website Novotel development needs to speed up. Thanks to new tools and a work on the product s flexibility in 2015, the brand objective is to open at least 46 new hotels in the next two years. In terms of sustainable development, Novotel keeps its deployment under the norm 14001. A new concept room A new lobby concept with reinvented functions A design guide for the brand 4

N Room is the new «flexible» room of Novotel brand. A room concept that is in line with the re-energization of the brand. Indeed, hoteliers are now free to select colors and room s wall artworks, renovation variants and even furniture settings depending on clients profile (business, spare time, single or family ). We can now choose to opt for an open bathroom, for more space, or a closed one for more intimacy. Until now Novotel has always addressed its clients expectations through different products and services. Today the brand pushes its limits by adapting the room to the profile of its users. In this way, a client who stays for business reasons will have, a business room. Each profile (business, spare time, single or family ) has an adapted room. 5

Ambition & Novotel Hub project objectives... Ambition: Create a proximity link between hotels and their close environment. Those interconnected hotels will propose services connected with the expectations and needs of local communities. This new markets bring new added values and enrich the group s strategy The objective is twofold Bring a permanent solution that allows to create an additional business, by transforming hotels weaknesses (Weak s TO & non-used square meter) thanks to new diversified services. Modernize the product taking into account the financial constraint Estimed budget: 15 000 (supply and pose in an empty box) 8

The Concept 9

OBJECTIVE: The objective is to find new functionalities for the rooms that are not rented during the day. Make the hotel lively and attractive for its neighborhood and the nearby storekeepers with complementary services, but also to make clients benefit from services set up by Novotel (Swimming pool, bar, gym hall ) You have to think of how to bring to light the multi-functions room concept through communication supports. Few trails: How could the non-used rooms be used during the day? What if the students rented rooms per month/year? What if we turned the rooms into an office? What if we transformed the meeting rooms into co-working spaces rented per day, month, year? What if we rented the meeting room spaces to health communities at night, during the week or week-ends? What if rooms were not only bedrooms... 10

FOCUS ON PHOTOGRAPHER USER Location and reservation of the room «Novotel Hub Studio» A solution for free-lance photographers who have no photo studio, they can rent the room during the day for a shooting. A room adapted to the necessary installations, as in a studio pro. 11

Submission s deadline: - Platform Opening : April 24th, 2017 - Finalist pre-selection : End of june 2017 - Platform Closing: May 23rd, 2017 - International final presentation : free contestant finalist + 9 schools finalists To be defined - Between Oct. 15th 2017 and October. 31st 2017 in Paris. The application form has to include the following elements, in addition to the information filled in the subscription section of the platform : - A conceptual note clearly and completely introducing the project - Drawings, sketches, and/or 3D views (5 views max.) - Plans with all the necessary explanations for the good understanding and appreciation of the project The selected finalist will prepare a document resuming the project. This document is intended to be given to the jury before the presentation meeting. It will contain all elements (texts, visuals) that allow the good appreciation of the project. It has to be built on a HD A3 horizontal format with the candidate and project s names written on the top right corner. 19
