To attend the listed courses below, delegates need to be free from injury and illness, and able to: CONFINED SPACE ENTRY / RESCUE COURSE: The delegate will be expected to descend/ascend and traverse a designated confined space within a training simulator, wearing an approved safety harness and breathing apparatus with face mask/hood and PPE. The delegate will be expected to crawl through a series of tunnels under various simulated emergency conditions that include; noise, limited light, and variable safe atmospheric conditions. High Risk course delegates must be clean shaven. SelfContained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) COURSE (for High Risk Confined Space Courses): The delegate will be expected to wear, carry, use and breathe using designated SCBA within a training simulator, wearing an approved breathing apparatus with face mask and PPE. The delegate will be expected to use SCBA under various simulated emergency conditions that include; noise, limited light, and variable safe atmospheric conditions. WORKING AT HEIGHT COURSE: The delegate will be expected to ascend/descend and traverse a designated Working at Height Tower/Scaffolding and ladders. Wearing an approved safety harness and fall arrest/restraint lanyard with PPE. FIRST AID COURSE: The delegate will be expected to administer First Aid to Casualties in various positions (standing, bending and kneeling) and under various simulated emergency conditions that include noise and simulated blood. MOVING AND HANDLING COURSE: The delegate will be expected to position themselves in various positions (standing, bending and kneeling) and under various simulated conditions. INDIVIDUAL RPE FACE FIT Test Appointment ONLY: All delegates MUST be clean shaven, (exceptions on religious grounds apply, goatees are acceptable). All delegates MUST bring the mask/s that they currently use. If a delegate does not have a mask with them they will be turned away and WILL NOT be tested. All delegates MUST NOT eat, drink or smoke for AT LEAST MINUTES BEFORE the test takes place. Unit 9 is on your right hand side as you approach. Timings: Delegates are to sign in at Unit 9, Brian Clough Business Centre, strictly by 0800hrs on st day of the course or as otherwise previously agreed. TQUK and City & Guilds Qualifications: For all TQUK and City & Guilds qualifications, delegates MUST bring photographic identification when attending the course. Dress code for Confined Space, Working at Height, Moving & Handling: Please bring your own PPE personal protective equipment / clothing; hard hat, coverall and protective footwear, gloves, protective eye wear and knee pads. Face Fit Test Appointment ONLY: The following conditions MUST be adhered to before a face fit test can take place: ALL delegates MUST be clean shaven (exceptions on religious grounds apply, goatees are acceptable). ALL delegates MUST bring the mask/s that they currently use. If a delegate does not have a mask with them they will be turned away and WILL NOT be tested.
