You will be evaluated on your ability to: assemble a team, choose attack techniques for various levels of a fire (e.g., attic, grade level, upper levels, or basement), evaluate and forecast a fire s growth and development, select tools for forcible entry, and utilize search and rescue and ventilation procedures in the completion of the attack team efforts, and to determine developing hazardous building and/or fire conditions. NOTE: Evaluator shall indicate the position a candidate will assume in the scenario. Each candidate, in a two person team, will be assigned to a different position. Evaluator shall serve as the Incident Commander for the scenario. Engine Company - Hose Line Officer Engine Company - Back-up Hose Line Officer Truck Company - Rescue Team Officer Truck Company - Ventilation Team Officer Performance Outcome: Pass/ Fail will be determined by 10 of the 13 items being preformed correctly 1. STATION E: Gas Cylinder Fire Control Test Date Candidate # Reference NFPA 1001-2013 Edition Chapter 6 JPR 6.3.3 - MANDATORY or RANDOM STATION [Either Station E or Station F MUST be used. The station not used as a mandatory station then can be used as a random station.] Directions: As a team, select the appropriate hose line to cool and approach a burning propane cylinder, shut the valve and extinguish the fire. Change nozzle operator and repeat the evolution. Do you have any questions? Performance Outcome: Pass/ Fail will be determined by 10 of the 10 items being preformed correctly 1. Crew selects no larger than 1 ¾" attack line with combination nozzle. 2. Crew initiates advancement of hose line utilizing a solid stream to cool cylinder. 3.
