Overall we ended up with 76 active Academy participants this spring. Select League (Chad) The Spring 2019 seasn is cming t a clse. All teams except ur U17B Red team have cmpleted the regular seasn. Nearly all ur caches will be returning fr the 2018/2019 seasn. As thse are finalized, will keep everyne apprised. We will remain with Admiral Sprts fr ur Select Unifrms, but we are ging t change up the Required Kit and add in a 2 nd pair f shrts and a 2 nd pair f scks. Admiral gear has held up well, has been reliable, and the stre is pen year rund. Once the caching

staff is set fr select we will als get additinal caches apparel fr caches, bth head and assistant. Fall applicatins fr SECL and State League are due int WYSA by July 8 th. Classic/Select league play fr Clubs in and arund Metr Milwaukee, the league ffers 11U-19U Fall play fr Girls and 11U-15U Bys. 14/15-cmbined age grup, 16/17-cmbined and 18/19 cmbined divisins The State League ffers league play fr Girls 12U-19U and Bys 12U-15U fr the Fall Seasn. At 12U WYSA has PODS nt Premier/First Divisin, teams will be gruped based n gegraphy and play fr Spring 2019 Premier and First Divisin placements. 13U Premier, 13U First divisin will als be ffered in Fall 2018. Divisins are based n team ability with multiple brackets at sme age grups, age grups and divisins will be cmbined as needed. Dave Mehn will submit applicatins and league placements will be based n feedback frm caches and apprved by Dave Mehn, Club Registrar, and Chad Cllett, Select League Directr. WYSA State Champinships are scheduled fr Octber 13, 14, 20 (Grup Play), Octber 21 st (Semi-finals), Octber 27 th (Finals). N league games fr the State League 15-19U will be scheduled, SECL 15U-19U teams will have league games scheduled, if yu apply teams can reschedule thse games dwn the rad and are nt required t submit blackut dates fr State Champinship r President Cup (Oct 20, 21 st and Oct 27 th ). Tryuts (Chad) Select tryuts are wrapping up this week fr the initial rund. We are ffering a tryut n Tuesday fr sme selective age grups where larger numbers need t attend, primarily arund the U15-17 age grup. We have 241 registered fr tryuts t date (vs 259 last year) but ur Bys HS age prgram nly plays in spring s many f thse have nt signed up yet. We anticipate numbers t be similar. We will have a minimum f ne team per age grup this year with ptential fr tw teams at U14/15 Girls, and fr High Schl Age Girls there will be three teams, and it culd be the same fr bys cme spring. Tryuts were dne in cmbinatin f Craig Peltnen (Bys) and Jillian Saiberlich (Girls) frm Marian and ur select caches. Chad met with evaluatrs pst-tryuts t cmplete rsters. Offers fr U11-U13 will be sent via email at 12pm n June 15 th and fr U14-19 at 12pm n June 22 nd. Players have 48 hurs t register t secure their spt. After that time, there is nt a guarantee. This is t encurage timeliness f registratins. All players wh are

nt ffered a spt, will have feedback prvided frm the tryuts. Chad will d all ffers and declines. U11-U12 can rster 16 max and U13-U19 can rster 22 but dress 18 n game day. We will cap ur rsters at 18 fr thse teams vs 22. The select fee is $450 fr the upcming year. The increase f $50 is t cver the select pre-seasn camp all select players can attend at n charge (nrmally $120 per camper), additinal mney the FDLSA will need t pay fr caches t take new grassrts license curses, and sending caches t United Caches Cnventin in Chicag in Jan (9-13) 2019. In additin, ref fees will be ging up anther $2 each level this fall, but raising fee t much is nt an ptin, s we need t absrb the impact and increase ur fundraising effrts. Once next year s budget is cmplete, we can see hw we sit. As a club we are switching ur registratin t Demsphere frm Sprt Engine fr ur Select Players and Caches. While nt mandated, this the new system that WYSA is recmmending ALL Clubs use and if we dn t use it fr registratin, ur club registrar has t manually enter them all in fr the state when we register ur players s it makes sense. Chad is learning the sftware and building the new registratin. There are lts f benefits t the new system and it cmes at a lwer cst fr registratins s ultimately will save us mney. We can evaluate prir t rec seasn (and ther prgrams) if we want t switch all t Demsphere. Future discussins will als include if we switch ur website t Demsphere t get n ne platfrm vs being n tw. Recreatin League (Luke) Final Rec League Numbers are 1262 Active registratins (1274 verall) vs 1250 Active frm a year ag (1259 Overall) s we are up 12 active players. Number f teams at each age grup are U5 (12), U6 (16), U7 (8/8), U8 (10/10), U10 (Bys 12 / Girls 10), U12 (Bys 8 / Girls 10), U14 (Bys 6 / Girls 4), High Schl Ced (6). = 120 verall teams. Same number f teams as last year. Vlunteer Caches we have 136 active caches. Picture Day and Spring Games went well. Great weather, sme shrtage n refs, a few cmplaints (there always is) but verall great experience and feedback. High Schl Ced league kicked ff June 6 th End f Year Turnament. Chad is wrking n schedule and will have dne and distributed by June 22 nd. This year, will be BIGGER. U10-U19 will be playing 2 games n Saturday and ne game Sunday (with champ game in afternn). S each day we will

have nearly 90 teams playing at the cmplex. Big weekend and we need all hands n deck. Chad will be creating a schedule fr all bard members t help ut and be arund. We will need dedicated vlunteers t pst scres and track pints t determine champinship matches. U5-U8 will still nly play 2 games. U5 and U7/8 Girls n Saturday and U6 and U7/8 Bys n Sunday. Medals and Trphies are being rdered in next 2 weeks. All U5-U8 will get a participatin medal. Champs get trphy and 2 nd place get a medal. Fine Designs will be n hand t d T-Shirts and Apparel fr the turnament. Based n ttal sales, FDLSA can get mney back as fundraiser. We need mre bard members t help ut during the week t set up and clse the cmplex. Right nw it is usually Luke, Andy, Dan, r Chad. Adult League (Bryan) The seasn is underway, we have 12 teams this year. Dwn frm 16 last, hwever we have a few teams that cnslidated this year, which can explain the slightly lwer number. We are nw 3 weeks int the seasn and everything is ging great! If anyne n the bard has any questins r cncerns abut it, let me knw. The seasn runs t the end f July, s still have several weeks left. Referees (Chad/Kip) Referees are ding a really gd jb this year, and fr the mst part, parents and caches are treating them with respect (minus ne r tw small incidents). The last 30 days with schl ending, class trips, vacatins, turnaments, and select finishing up, we have been shrt n refs n many nights. We have 55 refs n the rster but typically n any given night nly 10-15 available t wrk. As we get int summer that will imprve, but the seasn will be winding dwn. Refs have dne a slid jb n being n time, and lking prfessinal and maintaining cntrl f the field and the game. Kip was arund fr Spring Games and viewed a few games, and ffered advice t many yung refs. Camps and Clinics (Ryan, Chad) We have several camps cming up at the cmplex that are psted and we are prmting. Please cntinue t prmte. June 18 th week is the Marian Rec Yuth Camp but nly 20 registered s very lw numbers. I d nt have an update yet n British Challenger r the Red Stars camp.
