SPECIFICATIONS INTRODUCTION ibrite is a revolutionary whitening system that uses a combination of patented light technology in conjunction with a proprietary wavelength-specific whitening solution to safely and effectively whiten teeth by 6 to 10 shades-in one brief office visit. Years of intrinsic staining and discoloration can be reversed comfortably and quickly in one short visit. Independent studies on ibrite teeth whitening have proven the process to be completely safe and will not harm any existing dental work. Product Classification Application of Council Directive Power Supply LED life expenctancy Blue LED wavelength range LED Light Intensity 1.0 0.8 Blue LED Relative Spectral Power Distribution Class I Product 93/42/EEC Input: AC100~240V, 50/60Hz 10,000 hours 460 nm ~ 490 nm >= 3,600 Lux 0.6 0.4 STANDARD CONTENTS 0.2 Teeth whitening light Power supply Disposable mouthpiece User Instructions 0.0 350 400 450 500 550 600 650 700 750 800 Wavelength (nm) CONTRAINDICATIONS The LED light bulbs have a narrow wavelength from 460 to 490 nm and should only be used to accelerate teeth whitening procedures; this device is not intended to light cure dental materials of any kind. We do not recommend bleaching for smokers or alcohol users. Smoking should be stopped before teeth are bleached. Smoking can cause tissue damage on teeth and may defeat the effect of whitening. The best candidates for whitening are those with stains caused by coffee, tobacco or aging.

LIMITATIONS Limitations of Tooth Whitening Extensive composite and porcelain restorations Pre-existing sensitivity Severe gray/blue banded tetracycline staining Pregnant or lactating Severe gray/blue banded tetracycline staining Translucent teeth Amalgam restoration in front teeth Temporomandibular Joint Disorders Noncompliance or unrealistic expectation Comments If you have pre-existing cosmetic restoration (bonding, porcelain crowns or veneers) they will not be bleached and you may need to replace them in order to match your new color shade. 2/3 of these people will experience some sensitivity for 1-4 days. This is usually reversible upon termination of bleaching. Guarded prognosis required. Stains in the gray family can be harder to remove, if not impossible. These stains can take up to six months or longer to whiten. Whitening may only reduce amounts of 'masking'. No know adverse effects but avoid use as a precautionary measure. Guarded prognosis required. Stains in the gray family can be harder to remove, if not impossible. These stains can take up to six months or longer to whiten. Whitening may only reduce amounts of 'masking'. May appear darker after whitening. Amalgams may need to be replaced to avoid greening effect'. May want to consider bleaching one arch and monitor comfort before proceeding with the other The degree of whiteness is different from one individual to another, the degree of shade change obtainable is dependent on each person s reaction. Certain people react well while others may not be as responsive. SAFETY INSTRUCTION 1. The unit should be operated only by trained individuals with sufficient knowledge of the light, and protective eyewear must be worn by the operators, assistants, and patients at all times during whitening procedures. 2. Do not use this light as an illuminative device. 3.Never look directly into the LED and avoid direct shining to the eyes. If one must look directly at the LED lights, protective eyewear must be worn at all times. 4. To maximize patient comfort, turn on the whitening light ONLY after the mouth-piece has been attached to the light head. 5. If the device is moved from a cold environment to a warm environment, it must not be operated and turned on until new ambient temperature has been attained. 6. Do not use the device near flammable anesthetic liquid, oxygen, nitrous oxide, or any other hazardous environment. 7. This unit must not be used on patients with small electrical devices implanted to avoid damage to these devices (include heart stimulator, pacemaker, etc.) 8. This unit must be not used on or by any individual that suffers or has a history of sickness from photo-biological reactions (including protoporphyrie erythropetique or urticaria solaris), or any individual that is receiving treatment for using photosensitive medication (including methoxysorales or dimethylchlortetracyline). ADVANTAGES SAFETY PRECAUTIONS CAUTION: Always refer to manufactures instructions for appropriate whitening durations. Do not look directly at the light emitted from this light unit. Do not use this device without protective eyewear for the operator, assistant and patient. 1. SAFE - ibrite Portable Teeth Whitening Light is completely safe, because unlike some other whitening lights available on the market, it emits no harmful Ultra-Violet (UV) rays. Instead, the light operates in a narrow wavelength range of the gentle blue-green spectrum (400 nm ~ 500 nm) and is perfectly safe for teeth, gums, and skin. 4 5

2. LED TECHNOLOGY - ibrite Portable Teeth Whitening Light consists of several specially designed advanced LEDs that produce precise output in the blue-green spectrum of 400-500 nanometers, which is the most effective whitening range. 3. PORTABILITY - The new ibrite Portable Teeth Whitening Light offers great portability. It is easy to set up, move around, and takes up little place. ibrite Portable Teeth Whitening Light offers nearly the same effectiveness as traditional teeth whitening lights on the market, but at only roughly 1/3 the size. 4. OPTIMUM PERFORMANCE The new ibrite Portable Teeth Whitening Light comes equipped with a specially designed internal cooling fan to maximize heat dissipation for the LED lights, which further extends operating lifespan of the LEDs. 5. MODES With the ability to choose desired whitening session durations, ibrite Portable Teeth Whitening Light enables the operator to customize whitening sessions for different patients according to their specific needs. 3. Use the TIMER button to set the teeth whitening duration for each procedure. The default whitening duration is 15 minutes, and with each press of the TIMER button, the whitening session duration increases by 5 minutes to a maximum of 60 minutes. Available session durations are as follows: 10:00, 12:00, 15:00, 20:00, 25:00, 30:00, 35:00, 40:00, 45:00, 50:00, 55:00, 60:00 minutes. 4. Press the WHITENING button to start the whitening session. After the WHITENING button is pressed, you will notice the treatment LED lights as well as 4 timer indicator lights on the face panel (located right beneath the time display panel) are all turned on. These 4 lights represent the amount of time left on the session: each of the 4 lights indicates 1/4 of the total session time. These 4 indicator lights allow the user to know how much of the session is completed during a procedure. 5. After the session has started, if the internal temperature is over 35 C, the built-in fan will turn on automatically to protect the unit from overheating; when the temperature is below 30 C, the fan will automatically turn off. 2. Under Whitening mode, the time displayed is the time remaining for the session. The timer display will countdown to 00:00, and the whitening LEDs will automatically turn off. Indicator lights: these lights are located beneath the Time Display Panel on the face panel of the unit; the lights will only turn off during a whitening session. Each light represent a quarter (1/4) of the total session, when all the Indicator lights turn off, this signifies the session has ended. For example, if the total session time is 40 minutes, each Indicator light would then represent 1/4 of the total time, which is 10 minutes. After 10 minutes (1/4 of the total session), only 3 Indicator lights will remain lit. Sound alert: Each press on any buttons on the face panel will emit a short beeping sound; when the whitening session ends, the unit will short beep 3 times to inform the completion of session.
