New in 2013 Security checkpoints and bag screening Prior to entering Grant Park on race day, everyone must pass through designated security and bag screening checkpoints. For event staff and volunteers, your event-issued credential will act as your personal identifier and must be worn and visible at all times. If you are checking in at the Harrison Volunteer Compound, your Volunteer Confirmation email will act as your personal identifier. All bags will be screened by security personnel prior to entering Grant Park. Limiting what you bring with you into the Park, or opting not to carry a bag, will expedite the bag screening process and will help maintain an efficient flow of people into the Park. Volunteers checking in at the Harrison Volunteer Compound must check their bags at the Volunteer Gear Check located within that facility. Please make sure that you arrive early on race morning to account for the additional time it will take to pass through security.

Individuals can no longer pick up Packets on behalf of others. Backpacks, luggage and other non-event-issued bags will not be accepted at Gear Check.
