This Order of Battle was constructed from an order of battle that provides only the numbers and types of battalions assigned to each brigade and the numbers of guns assigned. It was expanded using the ll December l870 order of battle on the assumption that there were minimal changes in the identities of units where the counts did not change. Where changes occurred the term "unknown" is inserted to account for the variations. 5
