Hello and welcome to Get Creative @ Spotlight! We are committed to offering Free Quality Accessible Arts to the young people of East London. At Spotlight you can find classes to develop your talent, try new things, and help you achieve your goals. We work with the best creative artists in London and believe that young people deserve the opportunity to express themselves freely and creatively. In this booklet you will find details of the classes and activities that we offer over the Spring Term. You will need to book - some sessions are weekly & some ask for a longer commitment. MUSIC Beats & Lyrics with Taku & Garfield Got an idea for a song but don t know where to start? Have you got the rhythm but don t know how to make beats? Come and work with resident producers Taku & Garfield who will put you on the right track! Mondays 6 8PM 15 January 26 March Music Lab Every Tuesday 7-9pm book out free studio time. Engineered and produced by one of our creative team, there will be a different producer every week. Booking necessary, spaces will fill up fast! Tuesdays 7 9PM 16 January 27 March Live Band with Leaders In Community Whether its guitar, drums, vocals, or flute - whatever your instrument come and jam with other young musicians, form a band & record an EP. Songwriting and good vibes included! Tuesdays 5 7PM 16 January 27 March Foreword Noize Are you a musician, rapper, singer or producer? Every Thursday you will work with our expert producers to make your own track, get advice from industry professionals from GRM Daily, and make your own videos. This project is referral only. Speak to a member of the music team to find out if you re eligible to get involved. Thursdays 4 6PM 18 January 29 March - Referral only Studio Time! Team up with our acclaimed music producers to record your tracks and learn how to engineer recordings. Spotlight s very own team of audio wizards will transform the sound in your head into music to nourish your soul. Bring the Noise! Thursdays 6 8.30PM 18th Jan 29th March Spotlight Sounds Bootcamp Following the release of the stunning Spotlight Sounds Season 1 album on Apple Music and Spotify, Spotlight Sounds now has its eye on the next big musical virtuosos to work with in 2018. Think you have what it takes? Let us work with you to sharpen up your live performance, studio recording, and songwriting skills, giving you the best chance of signing with our inhouse record label in 2018. THEATRE, FILM & SPOKEN WORD Spotlight Radio with Cultivators This project gives you all the skills you need to start your journey into the world of radio. Working with the amazing Cultivators you will learn how to record, make jingles, research stories, and broadcast your favourite tunes on Spotlight Radio! DANCE & VISUAL ART IMD Legion Weekly Classes with IMD IMD are one of the UKs leading Urban Dance Crews. They boast over 60 members from all across the UK and are known for being a team who consistently take risks and perform at the highest professional level. With three weekly classes at Spotlight, you can be part of the Legion!
