The goal was her third career game-winner and her first overtime tally. Tara Smith and Allison Ganter are the other two Horned Frogs with overtime tallies this season. OVERTIME QUEENS TCU recorded its third overtime win of the season. TCU has won seven of its last 10 overtime games dating back to the start of the 2016 campaign. The Frogs are 7-1-2 in those nine games. PRODUCTION COMPANY TCU boasts the second-best offense in the Big 12 with an average of 5.69 points per game and 1.85 goals per game. Fourteen Horned Frogs have contributed to TCU s 70 total points this season. Nine Frogs have scored a goal, while 11 have registered at least one assist. STINGY FROGS In Friday s loss to Oklahoma State, the Horned Frogs surrendered a pair of secondhalf goals. Those were the first and only two allowed after halftime this season. The Frogs have outscored the opposition 13-2 after halftime. CORNER TO CORNER The Horned Frogs are one of the top teams in the country in generating corner kicks. TCU averages 8.31 corner kicks per match, a mark that ranks fourth nationally and second in the Big 12. The 108 total corner kicks taken are the tied for the most in the NCAA. DEFENSIVE MINDED In Sunday s win at Texas Tech, TCU registered its sixth shutout of the season. It was the Frogs fourth shutout in the last five games. Since Eric Bell came to TCU in 2012, the Frogs have notched 41 shutouts. TCU has recorded a school-record eight shutouts in three different seasons (2012, 2015 and 2016). GOLDEN FOOT Over the last season-plus, Allison Ganter has found the right touch, collecting seven game-winning goals. She has three this season to tie for the fifth in the nation. In her career, eight of her 17 goals have been game-winners. REACHING THE TOP In 2016, Emma Heckendorn put her stamp on the record book with nine assists, the most-ever in a single season. In TCU s win over Ball State, her assist on Ganter s game-winning goal put her atop the career charts, surpassing Allison Calleri s (1996-99) previous school-record 18 career assists. Additionally, she has wasted little time climbing the points charts, cracking the top 10. Her 49 points rank 8th all-time, just one point behind Jackie Torda s 50 in seventh. FRESH FACES TCU welcomed 15 new faces in the fall in addition to one redshirt. Of those 16 athletes, 15 have made their collegiate debuts this season. Five new faces (Yazmeen Ryan, Danielle Eule, Tijana Djuricek, Whitney Sullivan and Ariana Owens) have all earned their first career starts. NEAR AND FAR The TCU roster is quite diversified this season with five countries represented spanning three continents (North America, Europe and Australia). Additionally, TCU has athletes from eight different states. Tayla Christensen (New Zealand) is the farthest from home, traveling almost 7,391 miles from her home in Hamilton. Tijana Djuricek (Serbia) has travelled 5,998 miles, while Karitas Tomasdottir (Iceland) is almost 6,400 miles from home. Cachet Lue (Canada) is almost 2,000 miles from home. EXTRA, EXTRA TCU and Texas Tech played to a scoreless draw after regulation on Sunday, forcing overtime. It s the third time this season the Frogs have played in OT and the Frogs came away victorious. TCU played a school-record seven overtime contests in 2016, posting a 4-1-2 mark in those matches. Under the guidance of Eric Bell, the Horned Frogs are 9-5-16 in overtime. In its history, TCU has a 33-22-47 record in contests decided in overtime.
