Indoor Games Add A Word Story 8+ years 2+ players (5 or more is best) Need pencil and paper if you choose to write the story A quick thinking game that develops the imagination A great way to create some really interesting stories A story is built word by word with each player adding a word. The story can be done verbally - encourage everyone not to hesitate. OR the story can be written down with each player adding a word. Writing it down is a little slower but players then have a record to reread. Variations Add A Sentence Story Played in a similar way but this time each player gets to add a whole sentence. Balloon Volleyball 5+ years 2+ players Need - balloons The idea of the game is to keep the balloon off the ground by hitting it into the air. The game can be played in different ways. - Everyone can work as a team to keep up. - Each person can have their own color of balloon to keep up. - Two teams can have a side of the room that they have to keep the balloon off the ground. - Two teams can have a balloon each to keep afloat. Blow Football 6+ years 4+ players Need straws, ping pong ball, table, a goal at each end of the table (place tape on the table or use upside down cups as goalposts) A strenuous indoor game with lots of laughs! Teams stand at the opposite end to their goal. Players attempt to score a goal by moving the ball through the goal. This is done by blowing through the straw. A point is scored if the team can blow the ball through their goal. If a ball goes off the side, it is returned to the centre. Blow Ping Pong 6+ years 2-4 players Need straws, ping pong ball, table A great active indoor game! One player (or a pair) stands at both ends of the table. Each player has a straw. The ping pong ball is placed in the centre and players move it by blowing through the straw. A point is scored if the player can blow the ball off their opponent s end of the table. If a ball goes off the side, it is returned to the centre.
