Terra College Foundation Spring Newsletter 2015 President's Scholarship Concert Fund Friday, May 1 The Terra College Foundation in partnership with the Sandusky State Theatre presented national recording artist, author, and composer Jim Brickman in concert. Thanks to our generous supporters, the Terra College Foundation raised money for the President's Scholarship Fund. Jim Brickman performed with the Terra Choral Society, Terra Chamber String Ensemble, and students from the Terra State Music Program. Mr. Brickman and his team also worked with Terra Students on campus prior to the event. This first-hand experience is unique to our area. The concert was directed, produced, and recorded by students from Terra State's Digital Media Program. Guests were treated to a special visit from Mr. Brickman at a pre-concert reception. At the young end is Aubrey Milligan, an 18-year-old high school senior from Bowling Green High School. As part of the Post-Secondary Enrollment Options program, she will be picking up an Associate of Science on Friday and a high school diploma on May 31. At the "experienced" end is Linda Hamilton, a 70-year-old former nurse who came to Terra State looking for a different way to contribute to the medical field. She will earn an Associate of Applied Science in Health Information Technology. Both women found what they needed at Terra State - and both excelled. They will graduate with summa cum laude honors. "Attending Terra State has been enjoyable and has allowed me to learn many new things along with refreshing my mind on many other things that I have known that got stored away and needed to be remembered," Hamilton said. Linda Hamilton & Aubrey Milligan "Especially at a community college like Terra, everyone you run across has a different background with different experiences," Milligan said.
