All owners and exhibitors are responsible for knowing these rules. Special attention will be paid to RULE 401 & 441. Classes will be run in the order listed. ENTRIES CLOSE February 21, 2016. Please enter complete information for each HORSE and RIDER(S) on the enclosed registration form. Use one form per horse. ON- LINE ENTRY available at www.saqha.org. A one-time POST ENTRY PENALTY of $25 per horse will be charged for entries received, or submitted online after February 21, 2016. Photocopies of AQHA papers, current AQHA Open, Amateur and/or Youth card must accompany entries. Numbers will not be issued unless entry forms are completely and legibly filled out. Online entries must bring papers and cards to the office when picking up numbers. CATTLE RESERVATIONS FOR CUTTING AND WORKING COW HORSE. Entries must be received by February 21, 2016. Entries received after this date will be subject to a $25 late entry fee per horse and a $25 late entry fee for cattle. Late entries will also be subject to using re-run cattle. SAQHA will adjust cattle fees based on supply and feed costs.

STALL PRE-RESERVATIONS CLOSE FEBRUARY 21, 2016. Stalls are available from noon Wednesday, March 19th at a pre-reserved cost of $30 per stall per night, bedding not included. Stall reservations MUST include name of horse and responsible party, stalls will not be reserved without this information. Complete and mail the pre-reservation form postmarked by February 21, 2016. Stalls reserved after February 21, 2016 will be $40 per stall per night. Send all stall reservations to Carol Whittaker (pistolhillqh@att.net).call 480-358- 3710 to pre-order bedding. Early stall arrivals should contact Tim Lynch at 480-277-9003 to make arrangements. Feed can be delivered to the grounds by the nearby PetClub store. Phone orders will only be accepted if credit card and photo I.D. are on file at the store prior to ordering feed. PetClub, 4061 Gantzel Rd, San Tan Valley AZ, 480-677-4704. www.saqha.org MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS. All riders/handlers must have a current, individual AQHA, Amateur or AQHYA membership. Show management must inspect the membership cards or photocopies prior to issuing entries. If an exhibitor cannot produce a current individual membership card, exhibitors will complete the appropriate application (AQHA or AQHYA) and pay the proper membership fee. An exhibitor MUST PRESENT A CURRENT CARD OR PURCHASE MEMBERSHIP before they can show. Amateur certifications CAN now be obtained at the show. Exhibitors in Novice Amateur and Novice Youth classes must have a card showing N in membership number. See AQHA rules SHW 220-245. AWARDS First through sixth place. Grand and Reserve Mare, Gelding and Stallion to receive show ribbon. Halter Grand and All-around trophies available through AQHA. High Point Awards to be tabulated on a basis of nine or more in a class: 9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1: eight in a class: 8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 etc. Points accumulated throughout the show. TIE BREAK- ERS: 1) Greatest number of first places; 2) Tiebreaker judge. ALL AROUND AWARDS will be calculated like AQHA. One horse, one rider, one division. Halter points will count towards all-around awards, however halter is not required; horse must show in four classes under each judge in your division to be eligible for allaround and reserve. CIRCUIT AWARDS must show under all judges to be eligible. Classes shown to fewer than 5 judges will receive a comparable award. NOVICE CLASSES All AQHA classes that are listed as novice will be Level 1 classes under AQHA s new leveling system. Please make sure you are eligible by reviewing AQHA s website or contacting them with questions. AzQHA SANCTIONED SHOWS are assessed $1.00 per class entry to help fund yearend awards. This assessment is included in your entry fee. PERFORMANCE HALTER CLASSES require proof of AQHA Performance ROM. An exhibitor may not enter the corresponding halter class. STALLIONS may not be shown in novice youth, youth or novice amateur classes. 5

It will be a condition of entry that the exhibitor will hold SAQHA and its show management and personnel blameless for any loss or sickness to his horse(s) or equipment which may occur from sickness, fire, theft, or otherwise. ANY CHECKS RETURNED to show management as insufficient funds will be assessed an additional $30 office charge. Be aware of AQHA rules VIO 500-502. CLASS CALLS: Every effort is made to maintain a working PA system. However, the PA must be considered a courtesy. It is your responsibility to be at the gate for the classes you have entered. CLASS SEQUENCE AND LOCATION. Management reserves the right to adjust the sequence and location of classes. GATE ENTRIES: According to AQHA policy, gate entries will not be accepted. Exhibitors must submit class entry cards in the show office at least 3 classes before the class they plan to show. CLASS SCRATCHES: Scratches must be done in the show office or at the gate prior to the class. No shows will be charged for class. HORSESHOE PARK RULES: Exhibitors are responsible for adhering to the rules of Horseshoe Park in regards to the use of motor vehicles on the show grounds, pets and alcohol. In addition to the flat pattern, there will be 3 sets of obstacles with 3 different difficulty levels. Riders choosing the easiest option of the obstacle will have the score called by judge; riders choosing the more difficult option will have their score multiplied by 2 (either positive or negative); riders choosing the most difficult option will have their score multiplied by 3.
