AUTOMOTIVE GROUP Golf Classic BENEFITING Help Fund Lifesaving 3-D Mammography Dear Friends, Lexington Medical Cancer Center is nationally recognized for its commitment to oncology care. Your support of the McDaniels Golf Classic Gala and Tournament will help raise funds for the Lexington Medical Center Foundation s Campaign for Clarity. This campaign will make 3-D mammography available throughout the hospital s service area, giving patients access to the most advanced technology available regardless of where they live. Thank you for helping bring this lifesaving technology to our community. In October 2016, the Lexington Medical Center Foundation launched the three year Campaign for Clarity to raise $3 million to bring 3-D mammography to every patient at Lexington Medical Center. This revolutionary, new technology helps detect breast cancer earlier and more accurately than 2-D mammography. In the last year, $1.4 million has been raised and four machines purchased to date. 3-D MAMMOGRAPHY OFFERS CLEAR ADVANTAGES Detects cancer lesions as small as the head of a pin (2mm) Detects 40 percent more cancers than 2-D mammography Reduces false positives up to 40 percent Offers 29 percent improvement in overall cancer detection rates Suzanne Pucci, Event Chair The Lexington Medical Center Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization (Tax ID number 57-0906045).
