The newly developed Lechler VarioSpray II nozzle valve sysem wih pulse widh modulaion impresses wih is enormous flexibiliy and offers he possibiliy of spraying very small volumes of liquid wih precision. In he case of hydraulic nozzle sysems, he narrowes cross secion of he spray nozzle deermines he liquid flow rae. For reasons of economy and producion however, i is no possible o reduce his narrowes cross secions o any furher degree desired. For his reason here are physical limis o a nozzle's minimum flow rae. Pneumaic sysems are herefore used in order o realize he lowes flow raes. This allows very small flow raes o be generaed by using air. However, his pneumaic aomizaion has is limis where he volumes delivered mus be varied and adaped o changed process parameers. This ofen makes conrol disproporionaely complex. Using air can also have an unfavorable effec on operaing coss, as aerosols form and liquid is los due o he rebound effec. VarioSpray II allows very small volumes of liquid o be aomized while using hydraulic nozzles a he same ime.
