It will just retract to the same size as the original rudder and you can put the locking pin provided in for easy transport, landing and launching. We make the rudders in Melbourne Australia out of thermoformed ABS plastic, and a CNC machined aluminum shaft. The rudder can be installed quickly with a screw driver and it comes with a locking pin so it can be collapsed when travelling.

BP6011 Native Propel Service Tool This kit provides the tools required to remove the pedals and upper, and lower housings of your propel drive. This contains a custom 8mm steel spanner with tool steel ends, TIG welded to give you the strength required in dissembling the components for service. The spanner has been Electrolysis - coated to resist corrosion. The tool contains a peddle puller to allow you to remove the pedals to get to the upper housings. *NOTE This service kit only fits the newer style Propel drives with the curved upper housings as shown in photos*
