Track Opening Times: Friday: 2.30 pm to 4.30pm Saturday: 7am to 5.30pm Sunday: 7am to 5.30pm There will be a security guard in place over night mainly to make aware the general public that the area has temporary obstacles, and no one uses the track. Event Schedule: Saturday 1 st Sunday 2 nd Gates Open: 7:00am 7:00am Scrutineering & Sign On: 7:30am 7:30am Rider s Briefing: 8:30am 8:30am Practice Sat/ Sun warm up 9:30am 9:30am Qualifying : after practice _n/a Racing after qualifying after warm up 1. Set up: As this is a street circuit with in a public area, set up will be limited to Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. Pit area is within a council park area which will be fenced off. Cars-trailers transporters must be parked in Horseshoe Bend Rd. Follow directions by officials and security staff. It is up to each competitor and crew member to secure all your gear. It is not advised to leave anything in the pit area over night. 2. Sign on: 2.1 Sign on will be conducted from 2.30 pm to 4:00pm Friday and 07.30am to 8.15am Saturday at the Race Secretary office located near the finish line. 2.2 All National competitors must present their MA Senior or Junior National license, sign an indemnity and sign on to be granted entry to the circuit. 2.3 Junior National competitors are required to present their logbook to the Race Secretary for the duration of the event. The following endorsements are required for each class: Australian Junior Lites 9 to 13 yrs Championship Australian Junior 13 to 15yrs Championship Competitors age 9 years to 13 years OR 65cc 2-stroke / 125cc 4-stroke endorsement OR 85cc 2-stroke / 150cc 4-stroke endorsement RR 85cc 2-stroke / 160cc 4-stroke endorsement Competitors age 13 years to 15 years OR 200cc 2-stroke endorsement OR 250cc 4-stroke endorsement RR 125cc 2-stroke & 250cc 4-stroke endorsement RR with Senior endorsement

2.4 Competitors requiring a One Event Licence for the Vets Challenge or Race of Champions must present the following paperwork to the Race Secretary. One Event Licences are only open to valid Australian residents. proof of practical competence proof of knowledge of the rules proof of a club membership proof of ambulance cover. To prove competency in riding (details below) o You will need to provide proof of holding an MA licence within the last 10 years OR o a current road licence OR proof of having attended an accredited training school. If you have not held an MA licence in the past 10 years, you will need to complete a knowledge test which will be sent with the application form and needs to be completed and returned to race secretary. Without this documentation competitors will not be able to obtain a One Event Competition Licence. The cost for the licence is an additional $75. 2.5 International competitors must present to the Race Secretary a present FIM Licence and Start Permission, sign an indemnity and sign on to be granted entry to the circuit 2.6 All National competitors will be issued with two (2) passes. One for the Competitor and one for the mechanic. The mechanic must be present to receive passes. 2.7 International competitors receive four (4) passes. 2.8 A competitor may purchase four (4) additional passes at $20 each, only available on Saturday at Sign On. The team member must be present to collect pass. 3. Competitors Briefing: Saturday 8.30am & Sunday at 9.00am 3.1 Competitors Briefing are mandatory and must be attended be all competitors, parents (for competitors under age 18), and team mangers. 3.2 Competitors Briefing will take place at the finish line. 3.3 Scrutineering will be closed during Competitors Briefing 4. Transponders: 4.1 All competitors must collect a transponder from the Timekeepers at sign on from 7.30am Saturday from 7.30am and return after your racing has finished. 4.2 Your license will be kept as bond for the transponder if not returned in the same condition a fee will be applied. Please return transponder to timing prior to leaving the track on Sunday. 5. Machine Examination: Saturday 07.30am to 8.45am 5.1 All machines must attend and pass Machine Examination. MA and or FIM decals will be placed on all machines after passing scrutineering. Competitors must sign on prior to reporting to scrutineering. 5.2 Machines involved in accidents must be re-scrutineered before competing in any other races. 5.3 All machines competing in the FIM Oceania Championship will be examined by the FIM Oceania Technical Steward.

5.4 All spare/wet motorcycles need to be scrutineered, any bike without a scrutineering decal will be sent back to the pits at the dummy grid. 5.5 On board cameras must be presented secure on the motorcycle at scrutineering, a completed form must also be presented (this is available at sign on) NO HELMET CAMERAS 5.6 All changes of machine must be made to the Race Secretary and documented, any competitors found to be out on track on the wrong machine will be black flagged. 5.7 GCR s Chapter 18.12 01 and GCR s Appendix C. As this event is in a public area and close to residential properties there is a Noise Management Plan in place. Which require bike to have a sound emission of 95dB or less. 5.8 The only liquid coolant permitted is WATER. 5.9 Testing will be conducted by a Noise Control Officer and may take place at any time at the discretion of the FIM Oceania Technical Steward, Chief Scrutineer or the Clerk of Course 6. Event Race Format: FIM Oceania Supermoto Championship 1 x 20 minute free practice session Saturday 1 x 20 minute qualifying sessions Sunday 1 x 5 minute warm Sunday 3 x 15 lap FIM Oceania Supermoto Championship Races Sunday Australian Pro Championship. 1 x 20 minute free practice session Saturday with FIM competitors 1 x 20 minute qualifying sessions Saturday 3 x 10 lap Pro Championship Races Saturday Australian Open Women s Championship 1 x 10 minute free practice session 1 x 10 minute qualifying sessions 1 x 5 minute warm Sunday 3 x 8 lap races Open Championship 3 x 6 laps races Women Championship Australian Junior and Junior Lites Championship 1 x 10 minute free practice session 1 x 10 minute qualifying sessions 1 x 5 minute warm Sunday 3 X 5 laps races Vets Challenge 1 x 10 minute free practice session 1 x 10 minute qualifying sessions 1 x 5 minute warm Sunday 3 X 6 laps races Race of Champions 2 x 5 laps races In exceptional circumstances, race lengths may be altered at the discretion of the MA Steward or FIM Oceania Jury. 7. Qualifying & Grid Positions: 7.1 Qualifying for Pro, Open, Womens, Vets, and Juniors will be held on Saturday morning. 7.2 Qualifying for the FIM Oceania Supermoto Championship class will be held Sunday morning. 7.3 Grid positions will be determined by lap times from official timed QUALIFYING 7.4 Vacant positions on the grid will not be filled 7.5 Dummy gird protocol will be advised at competitors briefing. 7.6 Any competitor unable to participate in qualifying may, at the discretion of the Clerk of Course or FIM Oceania Jury, use his practice time as proof of qualifying but may be instructed to start at the rear of the grid 7.7 Competitors in the Pro class note: Due to the over subscription of competitors in this class, after qualifying the top 32 competitors will proceed to the Pro Championship class and the remainder will be reclassified to the Open Championship. 8. Strict Time Schedule: 8.1 This meeting will run to a strict time schedule. 8.2 As the start line is off the race track once a race has started the next race will be called to the start line.

8.3 The start line will be cleared of all team members when the last lap board has been displayed. Apart from the FIM Oceania Supermoto Championship Races. 8.4 Once the checked flag is displayed for the race on track riders on the start line will be in the starter s hand. Apart from the FIM Oceania Supermoto Championship Races. 9. Passing under Yellow Flags Competitors who disregard yellow flags will be penalised at the discretion of the Clerk of Course or the FIM Oceania Jury. 10. Machine Impound A compulsory 30 minute impound in the pit return area for all Australian Championship classes will happen at the end of each classes final race on Sunday. The Area set aside for Parc Ferme will be announced at competitor's briefing. 11. Presentation Presentations shall be conducted at the track after the finish of racing. Presentation area will be advised at competitor s briefing. 12. Environmental Bike wash bay meeting FIM requirements to be confirmed. Enviromats must be used under all motorcycles and generators 13. Electrical Power Power is not available in the pits, all generators must comply with circuit noise restrictions and power leads must be tested and tagged. Each competitor is responsible for OH&S requirements for all electronic equipment. Power leads must comply with Australian Standards and Occupational Health and Safety Acts requirements and are not to be placed on the ground or in dangerous positions. Fines and possible exclusion from the event maybe applied and along with penalties from Work Safe. Ensure that all leads are tagged and dated to demonstrate that they are certified. Power boards must have individual switches for each outlet. Domestic multi-outlet power boards do not meet the required work place standards. MA takes no responsibility for competitors and teams who do not comply with the Australian Standards and Occupational Health and Safety Acts. Leads used to power transporters/vans and marquees must be suspended above the ground at least 2.4 m above or covered in approved WH&S walkway covers. 14. Track Inspection: There is no official track inspection time as the track is set in a public area and is open at all times. If competitors do walk the track area please take not that there may be plant work being carried out and must pay attention to workers or officials at all times. 15. Weather: In the event of wet weather the track may be changed to exclude all or part of the dirt session 16. Oil Spills: Clark Motorsport Safety will be present to cover any oil spills or any environmental issues. Special Notes: a) Fuel is not available at the track. b) Shades in the pits please bring your own weights to hold the shades down.

c) No riding of bikes in any PUBLIC area all bikes must be pushed from pit area to start line from finish line to pit area. d) Enclosed footwear required in the pit area. e) No burnouts, stoppies or victory wheelies. f) No Alcohol is allowed in the designated competitor Pit Area. g) Food and Drinks stalls will be throughout the area. h) Camping is NOT available within the Newcastle Foreshore. i) No children under the age of 16 allowed in the pit area unless they are a competitor sorry this will be enforced by our officials and under the direction of the local Police. j) Like our Facebook page for all up dates and event information. https://www.facebook.com/newcastlecitysupermoto/
