Each Award class offers an impressive array of Sponsor or Welsh Part Bred Horse Group Award Trophies, Rosettes and Sashes. A Pioneer Series of Awards are made in each of the above Sections that reward young horses 7yrs and under in each discipline. We also recognise the value of the breeder of winning horses with their own Breeder s Award. In addition to the above, merit awards are also available in a range of other affiliated disciplines and award categories that range from ridden and in hand showing to driving.
What are Merit Awards? Merit Awards are made at the discretion of the Group and based on outstanding achievements in affiliated performance or showing competitions not included in our Award Sections (see details of these other disciplines within the Merit Awards section later in this booklet). What about the Cash Bursaries? These are any number of valuable cash bursaries awarded at the discretion of the Group which can be used to help achieve those professional lessons or an item of equipment that will help improve your performance. See full details of the bursaries later in this Awards Booklet. What if I Win an Award? Results will be announced in November 2014 and Awards class winners will be contacted directly. A presentation of prizes will take place at a Presentation Lunch that is also open to riders, breeders, owners or just plain enthusiasts of Welsh Part Bred Horses. This year s lunch is currently scheduled for Wednesday 5th December at The Hare & Hounds Hotel, Westonbirt, Glos. All Trophies are awarded for an annual period.
