What s New @ RED? What s To Come RED Mountain Resort is undergoing a 15-year resort development, that will provide up to 1,400 ski-in/ski-out resort residences. In addition there will be a host of restaurants, retail shops and other commercial services, plus on-mountain family-oriented activities at the base of the mountain. RED Mountain Resort has completed the design of a new Four Season Day Lodge and Conference Center. The approximately 7,000 square feet of new space includes retail/general store, rentals, repairs, guest services, tickets, renovation of our Food & Beverage outlets, a New conference center and an espresso/wine bar. Rafters Bar and the existing Sourdough eating facilities will be updated, while maintaining the historical architectural roots by incorporating the existing 100 year old timbers. It was home to the first Canadian downhill ski championship in 1897. The RED Mountain chairlift was the first in Western Canada and began operating on December 16, 1947. That same year, the base lodge was built. The first World Cup Race was hosted by RED Mountain in 1968 and 7000 fans cheered Rosslander Nancy Greene as she won the giant slalom. RED Mountain has produced more Olympic athletes than any other ski club in North America! 3

RED s Features Terrain Park With the lift accessed terrain park, the 6 acre, 530 meter / 1,739 foot long park includes rails, fun boxes, a wall-ride and tabletop jumps for riders of all ability levels. Retail RED Sports is your on-mountain source for a wide range of ski and board accessories, clothing, logo wear and souvenirs. Rentals RED Sports rental department stocks a full range of equipment for use on the mountain. As well as skis and snowboards, RED Sports also carries cross-country classic & skate skis, snowshoes, ice skates & backcountry gear. High Performance equipment also available. Kindercare Our fully licensed daycare provides quality care for kids aged 18 months to 5 years. Conveniently located at the base, Kindercare is open 7 days a week from 8:30 am to 4 pm. Reservations are required. Food & Beverage RED has a number of options to satisfy every palate. Sourdough Alley caters to breakfast and lunch. Rafters is a lunch and apres ski destination.
