BUCS WHEN... BACK TO WORK: The Pirates open the second half of the season tonight at PNC Park with the beginning of a seven-game homestand against the Cardinals and Brewers...This is the first game being played in Pittsburgh this season between the Bucs and RedBirds...Next month the Pirates and Cardinals will play three games at PNC Park from August 17-19 before playing the final game in Williamsport on August 20...Pittsburgh will also host St. Louis for three games from September 22-24. Steve Cooke allowed just two runs in 7.0 innings and left with a 3-2 lead, but the Mets scored twice off Clint Sadowsky in the eighth to lead by one.
