The Hooks powered in front early with a two-run shot by DH Chase McDonald in the first, but Springfield plated three in the second to move in front. After a game-tying solo homer from 3B Jack Mayfield tied it in the bottom of the second, the Cardinals pulled in front with a C Carson Kelly solo home run and CF Harrison Bader s second RBI single of the day in the top of the fourth. A double-play ball from 1B Chris Jacobs brought in an insurance run in the fifth, and Springfield worked through a ninth-inning rally attempt for the 6-4 win with RHP Josh Lucas getting his first save of the year. Welcome to Double-A With a pair of two-out RBI singles on Sunday, CF Harrison Bader continued to take the Texas League by storm.
