T-SHIRT CONTEST CONTEST GUIDELINES
Calling all designers! The 2018 Walk to Make Cystic Fibrosis History is excited to announce the first ever walk t-shirt design contest! 1 2 3 4 Submit your designs for a chance that they may be featured on t-shirts in your community used in connection with the 2018 walk. After all designs have been submitted, up to 5 designs will be selected by CF Canada staff as contest finalists. These finalists will be posted on CF Canada s walk website so the public may vote to determine which design will be featured on t-shirts used in connection with the walk. Design Overview and Guidelines English and French All t-shirts will be designed in English and French. Be sure to keep in mind the design elements will be translated (1 t-shirt design in English and 1 t-shirt design in French) What you can use English and French Walk to Make Cystic Fibrosis History logo (either vertical or horizontal) (mandatory) as provided by CF Canada, images of which are included below in these Contest Guidelines Words and simple line images (no graphics or photos personal or from the internet) A maximum of 2 colours Colours The official colours of the walk are blue and teal. You may use either the horizontal or the vertical logos. 3
Logo misuse Do not make any alterations to the logos Do not shrink any logo down to a size where it is not clearly visible/legible EPS and JPEG files available from CF Canada (walk@cysticfibrosis.ca) What you cannot use Profanity or demeaning language/images Negative portrayal of cystic fibrosis or the cystic fibrosis community Adult content Copyrighted materials that do not belong to CF Canada Invalid/Rejected Designs Some common reasons why designs may be rejected from entering the contest are: Poor image quality or incorrect file format Trademark/copyright violation Inappropriate language/offensive images and speech Incorrect use of CF Canada logos and trademarks Designs received after the contest deadline Any submissions received with any of the above criteria will be rejected Checklist for a great submission: Original and clear concept Strong message and execution No vulgarity or offensive/inappropriate content Correct usage in terms of copyright/trademark Design submitted in high resolution prior to the contest deadline 4

How to submit your artwork Read these design Contest Guidelines and the Contest rules and regulations located at: www.cysticfibrosis.ca/walk/get-involved/design-contest Read the rules and criteria for an appropriate submission Ensure your submission meets all criteria Save as a.pdf or.jpeg file Keep your original high-resolution image (.ai or.eps format); if your design is chosen, we will require this version for printing Email your design to walk@cysticfibrosis.ca with the following information: Name, email, phone number Title of design Description of the inspiration for your design An attachment containing your design in the required format (.pdf or.jpeg) If your design is chosen to be one of the Contest finalists, promote it! Use social media to reach out to your network and encourage them to vote for your design. Each entrant under the age of 18 must have the consent of his/her parent or legal guardian to submit his/her personal information in order to enter the contest. The parent or legal guardian must include the following with the submission: Child s name Parent/guardian name Parent/guardian email address and phone number 6
Additional Information Important Dates Submit your design(s) from January 1, 2018 to February 9, 2018 Last day to submit design(s) February 9, 2018. Public voting from February 15, 2018 March 1, 2018 Contest winner announced week of March 5, 2018. No Entry Fee/Eligibility There is no entry fee to submit a design. Please see the contest rules and regulations to determine your eligibility for participation in the contest. Notifications Notifications will be sent to designers whose submissions have been selected as one of the finalist designs and to the eventual winner of the contest. The contest winner will be announced the week of March 5, 2018. Final Decision The final decision on whether to accept and/or print a submission belongs to CF Canada.
