It is intended t be fun, t be quick and t encurage the participatin f parents as well as players. S that this may happen and that players can acquire the key skill f bwling, clubs are asked t use the fllwing criteria when assessing if a player is ready t mve t Super 7s: In general a bwler shuld be able t deliver fur playable balls in an ver. A bwler shuld be able t bwl with the prper actin (i.e. deliberate thrwing f the ball is nt acceptable). Teams shall nrmally be made up f 7 players per side and while 9 players may be registered, nly 7 may be n the field at any time. The minimum number f players is 5 but in the event f less than this being available fr either side, a game shuld prceed with players being shared between teams. All players shall be registered fr insurance purpses. Innings are f 20 vers. Players will face 17 balls n matter hw many times they are dismissed. If there are mre than 7 players in a team, all players are t bat and the number f balls each faces is t be reduced prprtinately. If there is a spare ball remaining at the end f the innings, the facing batter will receive it. Players can be dismissed bwled, caught, stumped, run ut and hit wicket but nt lbw. Batters change ends at the end f each ver and when dismissed. Players bwl frm ne end nly. The length f the pitch is t be 16 metres. With the cnsent f the MSW management cmmittee, well cut grass r temprary pitch prducts may be used as the wicket, prvided they prvide a reasnably flat surface with sufficient bunce t enable reasnable play. Fielding rtatin is encuraged and 2 players shuld share wicket keeping duties fr 10 vers each. N player, except the wicket keeper may field clser than 10 metres frm the striking batter. T maintain player interest, it is imprtant that time between vers is kept t a minimum. N wicket keeper may stand clser than 1.5 metres frm the stumps. All players are t bwl and ver are t be shared as evenly as pssible ther than wicket keepers wh are t bwl ne ver each.. eg 3 players will bwl 4 v, 2 will bwl 3 v and the wicket keepers ne ea. If a team cnsists f mre than 7 players it may be necessary t prprtinately reduce the number f vers bwled fr sme bwlers. Laws fr the Cnduct f Cricket - Super 7s Page 8 f 9

An ver cnsists f six deliveries with n balls and wides all cunting as deliveries. A batsman wh chses a tee sht may nt hit behind square n either side f the wicket and can be dismissed as if he had faced a fair delivery. The tee ball shall be regarded as the sixth ball f the bwler s ver as regards runs scred r wicket taken. The batting tee shuld be placed behind the striker s stumps t enable the tee sht t ccur with minimal interruptin t the game. A shrt pitched delivery buncing abve shulder height r reaching the batter abve the waist n the full is a n ball '. A full tss that reaches the batter abve hip height in upright stance is a n ball. The frnt ft n ball law des nt apply at Super 7 level. A ball that behaves erratically ff the pitch is a 'dead ball' and is re-bwled. A ball that is ut f reach f the extended bat is 'a wide'. Wides and n balls cunt as ne run each t sundries. If a n ball is hit, then any runs are attributed t the striking batter. A 30 metre bundary is measured frm the striker s wicket nly. Furs and sixes can be scred in the usual way. Keeping scre is nt cmpulsry as these are nn-cmpetitive games but it is necessary t have an accurate cunt f balls faced by the batter and vers bwled by each bwler. Equipment and cnditins A KD Rapid Sft Stitch plastic junir ball is used (as in under 10). Wden bats (sizes 2-4) are t be used. Metal r plastic stumps may be used.
