2. Kit Contents In order to change the coinage configuration for an interchangeable disc Cyclone hopper, between 1 and 3 components will need replacing. The parts in question are shown in the photo below. They are, from left to right: ADJUSTER PLATE, DISK, and FINGER Page 4 of 14

Cyclone Hopper QC Disc Replacement 3. TSP131.doc Issue 1.0 September 2005 Changing the Disc. This is the most common component to change, and is therefore the easiest. Firstly you must access the hopper disc / motor assembly. 3.1 Remove Bowl Unclip the bowl from base at the back. Ease outer posts in the directions shown below to release the bowl. Now remove the bowl by easing it towards the front of the hopper, shown below. Money Controls 2004. All rights reserved. Page 5 of 14

3.2 Remove Disk First remove the disc bed assembly from the base. You now have access to the disk. Using a Torx or Pozi-Drive No. 2 screwdriver, turn the central screw anti-clockwise to loosen and remove the screw. Page 6 of 14

You can now remove the disc by pulling it free of the centre pillar. Now fit the new disc by carrying out the above steps in reverse. Page 7 of 14

4. Changing the Adjuster Plate The adjuster plate ensures that the coin is pressed against the ejection fingers to the correct degree to ensure consistent payout trajectory. Remove the bowl and disk as per steps 3.1 and 3.2 above. Using a no. 1 pozi-drive screwdriver, turn the screw anti-clockwise to undo and remove the adjuster plate screw. NOTE: The adjuster plate can be removed and replaced with the disc still installed. Now fit the new adjuster plate. Most plates (including the Euro) have just one screw hole and so positioning is straight forward. If there are 2 holes in the new adjuster plate, they are referred to as positions A and B. The picture below shows the different locations use the correct hole for qualified performance. For specific coinage information contact MCL Technical support. Position A Position B Refit the bowl by carrying out step 3.1 above in reverse. Page 8 of 14

5. Changing the Ejector Fingers This is the least commonly changed part and requires some manual dexterity to achieve. Remove the bowl as per step 3.1 above. Remove the hopper motor/disk bed assembly from the base as shown below. Place the hopper bed assembly face down on a flat, supportive work surface with the disc downwards. Using a no. 1 pozi-drive screwdriver, turn the ejector cover screw anti-clockwise to undo and remove the screw. Remove the cover. Page 9 of 14

Using a spring hook or similar device, un-hook the ejector spring from the finger by pulling away from the fixed end of the spring and then releasing the tension in the opposite direction. BE CAREFUL! THIS IS THE MOST DIFFICULT PART OF THE OPERATION AND INJURY CAN OCCUR IF PROPER CARE IS NOT TAKEN. Now pull the spring to one side so that it does not impede the removal of the ejector. Page 10 of 14

Cyclone Hopper QC Disc Replacement TSP131.doc Issue 1.0 September 2005 Undo the screw completely as shown below. The removal of the ejector is difficult at first, but with practice becomes easy. Firstly, rock the finger backwards as far as it will go. Money Controls 2004. All rights reserved. Page 11 of 14

Cyclone Hopper QC Disc Replacement TSP131.doc Issue 1.0 September 2005 Then, whilst gripping the tip of the ejector finger (shown above) turn the hopper over and push out the fingers from its locating holes until they are moving freely. Insert a flat screwdriver as shown between the disc bed and gearbox cover and gently lift the gearbox cover. Money Controls 2004. All rights reserved. Page 12 of 14

Now lift and twist the fingers in a clockwise direction to remove from the disc bed. The ejector will now be free and can be lifted from the recess. Now fit the new ejector; replace the spring and ejector cover by following the above steps in reverse. ONCE AGAIN BE CAREFUL WHEN RE-FITTING THE SPRING. CARE MUST BE TAKEN. Page 13 of 14
