HISTORY OF CLUB The Lakeside Saddle & Driving Club was established in 1983 by Duane and Joan Embery Pillsbury because of the need for a community equine facility in the Lakeside area. The facility was planned and developed to accommodate all types of equine activities including roping, dressage, cutting, driving, eventing and reining. Currently the facility has a dressage arena, three general use arenas, a large round pen and two lunging round pens. The perimeter track is approximately one mile and has excellent footing, as do all of the arenas. A driving and reining area is set aside which has the harder surface needed for these activities. In addition to the arenas, the facility has two wash racks, a restroom facility and three picnic areas complete with tables and benches for use by the members. Individual and family memberships are available in the Lakeside Saddle & Driving Club. The fees established for these memberships have been kept as low as possible to help defray the costs of maintaining the facilities and equipment. Lakeside Saddle & Driving Club plans to continue improving the facility to meet the needs and enjoyment of its members. The desire is to make Lakeside Saddle & Driving Club one of the finest equine facilities in Southern California. For membership information please contact Lakeside Saddle & Driving Club, 13036 Willow Road, Lakeside, California 92040; telephone number (619) 443-2503. Revised 7-17-2016 3
