Payment must be in the form of a check. Points towards the DHJSC Annual Awards will count when membership dues have been paid and the horse has been registered. WARNING!!! GUIDELINES It is the responsibility of the show management, exhibitors, trainers, and spectators to conduct themselves in a civilized and sportsmanlike manner. It is the responsibility of all trainers and exhibitors to be familiar with the DHJSC Rulebook. All children must be accompanied/supervised by an adult. Add back classes are calculated as follows: $10 x # of entries in class = total prize money. Prize money is distributed 30% - 22% - 16% - 14% - 10% - 8%. Minimum 6 entries. All add back classes are open. A $15 service fee may be applied to open checks not closed by the conclusion of the show. Excessive coaching by trainers, parents, guardians or other riders from the in-gate is not permitted. RULES AND REGULATIONS STABLING: Stalls @ $75.00 -Shavings are $9.00 (3 bag minimum) $35.00 grounds fee for any horse not taking a stall. Early move-ins/late move-outs (arriving before 10:00am Friday, July 13, departing after 8:00pm, Sunday, July 15) $35. SCHOOLING: Schooling on Friday All rings, times to be determined (No EMT) and Sat. & Sun. daybreak - 7:45 am RESPONSIBILITY: Submission of entry to these shows constitutes an agreement to the following: Exhibitor agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Texas Rose Horse Park and DHJSC officials against any claim, demands, costs and expenses, including reasonable attorney fee for the defense thereof, arising from the conduct or management of Exhibitor s business or its use of the premises or from any breach on the part of Exhibitors of any conditions of this Agreement, or contractors, agents, employees, guests, or invitees in or about the premises. In case of any action or proceeding brought against Texas Rose Horse Park and DHJSC Management because of any such claim. Exhibitor, upon notice, covenants to defend such action or proceeding by council acceptable to owner. Exhibitor is responsible for his/her own property and Texas Rose Horse Park and DHJSC Management is not responsible for accidents, fire, or theft. It is the responsibility of the show management, exhibitors, trainers, and spectators to conduct themselves in a civilized and sportsmanlike manner. It is the responsibility of all trainers and exhibitors to be familiar with the DHJSC Rulebook. ENTRIES: There will be a post entry fee of $5 per class if entered after July 11th at 6:00 PM. Class fees are $15 unless otherwise noted. NO NUMBERS WILL BE ISSUED WITHOUT AN OPEN CHECK. CURRENT COGGINS MUST BE PRESENTED TO THE HORSE SHOW OFFICE FOR ALL HORSES ON THE GROUNDS. A digital copy of the Coggins (PDF preferred) may be emailed along with entries to speed check in. Please note barn affiliation, drivers license number and date of birth on all checks. Please note barn affiliation on entries. Entries may be emailed to Amy Frenzel amylfrenzel@gmail.com. FEES & REFUNDS: $25.00 office and awards fee will be charged for every horse & rider combination. Once the show has started, proper notification of the scratch must be made in the show office BEFORE the start of the class or classes being scratched or else the class fee may be charged. Adds and scratches at the gate are not allowed; they must be done in the office first. Non-members will be charged a non-member fee of $30 per show. A $15 service fee will be applied to open checks not closed by conclusion of the show. RETURNED CHECKS: A $25.00 fee will be charged for all returned checks. DOGS: There will be NO DOGS on the property that are not attached by a leash to a person s hand!!! ATTIRE: SEI APPROVED HELMETS MUST BE WORN BY ALL RIDERS WHILE MOUNTED. Riders must be properly attired no chaps. Numbers must be worn and clearly visible. RIBBONS, TROPHIES and CHAMPIONSHIP: All classes receive a 1 st place prize and 6 ribbons. All Divisions will be awarded Champion and Reserve ribbons using the standard tally system: 10, 7, 5, 3, 2, 1. In the event of a tie, management will break the tie by over fences points. Champion rosette and trophy will be awarded and Reserve rosettes. (Champion add 10 points and Reserve adds 7 points) FOOTING: Warm Up areas and Competition arenas are all weather sand composite. CHANGES: Management reserves the right to change, cancel or combine classes, alter courses and do all things necessary to compensate for excessive or inadequate entries. Classic Hunter course of at least 10 jumps including an In & Out and minimum of 3 options. 2nd round: Handy Hunter course of top 12 horses if available. 1 bonus point will be awarded for each option jump completed and in the 2nd round up to ten points may be awarded for handiness. No schooling of the course is allowed. Late entries will ride at the top of the order. Larges to be run during TRHP Hunter Derby, but judged with small and medium ponies only. Smalls will go first in the order jumping 2 0 with 2 3 options. Mediums will be next in the order jumping 2 3 with 2 6 options. Open to all Amateur, Junior and Professional Riders. Order of go to be posted at 6:00pm Saturday evening. Cutoff to enter or scratch is 6:00pm Friday. Entries received after this point must go at the top of the order. Scratches received after this point will still be charged for the class. To be held in Table IIb format. 8 entry minimum to run class. Leadline: Class 55, Participation is free Open to riders 8 years and under. Participants may not enter any other division at this show. All horses/ponies must be lead by person over 12 years of age. Will be held between the first and second round of the Derby on Saturday evening.
