(3) Qualification Criteria Boy s/girl s Under 12 - Participants must be less than 12 years of age on 1 January 2018 Boy s/girl s Under 14 - Participants must be less than 14 years of age on 1 January 2018 and must be born already 10 years of age on 1 January 2018 (born after year 2004 and before year 2009) Men s/women s Open - Participants must be born already 14 years of age on 1 Jan 2018 and born before year 2006 Men s Veteran - Participants must be born already 49 years of age on 1 Jan 2018 and must be less than 60 years of age on 1 Jan 2018 (born from year 1959 until year 1969) Note : Participants can compete more than one event (just be more than one class above) Passport/ID Card/birth certificate for the time indicated on the registration of participants. (4) Reporting Please note that it is compulsory for the team manager or a representative from each club to report to the DT for registration on April 27 2018.During registration, team managers or a representative from each club are required to do the following: (i) (ii) (iii) Confirm the entries for the club for all events. Pay for all the entry fees for all the club participants. Submit all indemnity form and fencer registration forms as necessary. In case of disagreement in interpretation of the Rules, the latest English version shall prevail. The Directoire de Technique shall deal with any unforeseen incidents not covered by the Rules. (8) Equipment It is compulsory for all competitors to wear minimum 350N plastrons, minimum 350N fencing suits, minimum 350N masks and long socks (that cover to above the knees). It is also compulsory for girls to wear chest protectors. All Foil fencers are required to wear a Mask with a conductive bib. Any replacement bib must come from the same manufacturer. All masks must also have functioning elastic straps. Leon Paul masks require the additional security strap. Competitors found wearing attire not conforming to the above will not be allowed to fence. Competitors are also reminded to bring a spare weapon and a spare body wire to be put at the side of the piste during their bouts. (9) Competition Management (a) (b) Directoire de Technique (DT) : The DT shall be responsible for the technical organization of the competition. Referee : Committee has been appointed referee representative in this competition. (10) Closing Date For Entries The closing date for entries will be Friday, 20 April 2018, 23:59h. (11) Prizes A West Java International Fencing Championship 2018 will be awarded to the 1st places A medal will be awarded to the 2nd, and 3rd (joint bronze) places in each event.
