NAYGN s 3 rd ANNUAL CHARITY GOLF Tournament To All Employees, Sponsors, Friends, and Guests, The 2017 Annual Vogtle NAYGN Charity Golf Tournament will be held Saturday, June 17 th and you are invited to join us! The 4 person scramble tournament will be played this year at Bartram Trail Golf Club. The 18 hole golf course is located in Columbia County just minutes outside of I20. Bartram Trail is the only public course in Columbia County to feature five par 5 s and five par 3 s. Registration Information Entries will be accepted as single, partial team, and full team registration. Our tournament is networking based and those that sign up as a 1, 2, or 3 person team will be automatically paired with an individual from Management or Leadership from Plant Vogtle. NAYGN Members: The event is designed to be a Professional Development/Networking golf tournament for those interested. When you sign up online, indicate if you would like to be randomly paired up with other NAYGN members or a site manager. The Tournament Secretary will maintain a list of golfers without teams if you desire to play and need a team. Tournament fees are $50 per player. Non NAYGN Members: Tournament rules require at least 1 member of each team be a Vogtle employee or subsidiary of the company (vendor or sponsor). The other team members may be invited guests ages 16 or over with golfing experience. Employees/retirees/vendor/sponsor assumes responsibility for invited guests. Current and directly contracted vendors/contractors are being invited as sponsors/players. Tournament Fees are $75 per player. NAYGN has identified and would like to welcome Ronald McDonald House Charities of Augusta (RMHCA), a locally funded and operated non profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of children and their families by creating and supporting programs that directly improve the health and wellbeing of children. Ronald McDonald Houses act as a place to stay for families with hospitalized children who are receiving treatment, providing over 7,200 bedrooms to families around the world each night, with an estimated value of $257 million in lieu of hotel costs. RMHCA not only helps families with lodging, they provide long term benefit solutions through the RMHCA Scholarship Program. NAYGN provides opportunities for a young generation of nuclear enthusiasts to develop leadership and professional skills, create life long connections, engage and inform the public, and inspire today s nuclear technology professionals to meet the challenges of the 21st century. Fueled by volunteers, the organization has grown to include dozens of continental committees and more than a hundred local chapters facilitated by a board of directors affectionately known as The Core. This structure allows the organization to be flexible and serve a wide variety of members. The NAYGN membership spent hundreds of thousands of hours participating in activities to educate the public and also provide development opportunities at the local, regional, national and continental level. Locally, the Vogtle Chapters help out the community throughout the CSRA by participating in STEM days at local schools with egg drop competition, spaghetti towers, penny boats, and nuclear chain reaction demonstrations. NAYGN volunteers at local festivals such as Good Boats, Cooking for Kids, the Greek Festival, and the Augusta Iron Man. Vogtle NAYGN provides many donations to help children in need during the holiday seasons with Child in Need and Angel Tree. They are also active in Ronald McDonald Charities and help serve dinner at the Ronald McDonald House as well as volunteering with the Augusta Plane Pull Event. The organization helps develop young professionals through opportunities to network at local restaurants, baseball games, recreational activities, and tours of local facilities like Savannah River Site and the Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility. Members can participate in lunch and learns to hear about different aspects within engineering, finance, and the nuclear industry.
