WELCOME TO OUR COMPETITIVE CHEER PROGRAM! Thank you for your interest in joining the EVO Athletics All Star Cheerleading Program. At EVO Athletics, we strive to make every athlete s potential a reality and it is our mission to turn our athletes passion and dedication into accomplishment. We recognize competitive cheerleading as a sport and train all our athletes accordingly. During the team placement process, we will be evaluating and placing athletes on teams based on their skills, attitude, work ethic and experience. We ask that you accept your placement with a positive attitude and understand that our goal as a program is to set each team and individual up to succeed. On behalf of all of our EVO staff, we are proud to extend to you our warmest welcome into the EVO family. TRYOUTS Cheerleading Tryouts are open to boys & girls of ALL LEVELS Ages 3 to 18. Age grid is based on athlete s age as of August 31st, 2018. Your $60 EVO Annual Registration fee AND your first $300 Assessment fee is due prior to tryouts and payable through your EVO Parent/Assessment Portals. More details about NEW Assessment payment process to come. Your EVO registration fee is transferable to any EVO program and is nonrefundable. You will find more detailed information about pricing and payments throughout this packet. There will be no refunds for tryout fee or registration fee for any reason. Athletes requesting to join teams AFTER tryouts will be considered but are not guaranteed a spot. All prior fees will still apply if joining a team after the start of the season. These fees are due BEFORE attending your first practice. TRYOUT PRACTICES FLYERS skills: No athlete is guaranteed a flyer position. Below are the requirements for each team type. At any point, a flyer may be taken out of the air for any reason. If you are only cheering to be a flyer, this isn t the program for you. PREP/XCEL: Right and left heel stretch, kick scale & pull scorpion ELITE: Kick scorpion, kick or pull bow-n-arrow & needle TUMBLING skills: Level 1: cartwheel, round off, back walk over, front walk over Level 2: all level 1 skills and the following - back handspring, back walk over + back handspring, round off + back handspring Level 3: all level 2 skills and the following - round off + tuck, round off + back handspring + tuck, punch front, 3 standing back handsprings, toe touch back handspring Level 4: all level 3 skills and the following - standing tuck, round off + back handspring + layout, 2 standing back handsprings + tuck Level 5R: all level 4 skills and the following - round off + back handspring + full, toe touch + tuck SCHEDULE Athletes will be split into groups based on ages. This does not necessarily represent athletes team placement. Wednesday, May 16th from 6-7:30pm: tumble evaluation Thursday, May 17th from 6-7:30pm: stunt evaluation Friday, May 18th from 6-7:30pm: open workshop & makeup evaluation, EVO Open Gym is available for $15 from 7:30-9:30 and a great opportunity for athletes to practice for tryouts. Saturday, May 19th starts at 10am: Final evaluation. After athletes are finished, they are free to go. TEAM/TEAMMATE REVEALS Monday, May 21st at 6pm Team Reveals will be a digital Family Fun Facebook activity. Be at your devices and ready to play along from 6-8pm. The Reveal will take place on the EVO Athletics Private Team Cheer facebook page. Parents are required to request to join this page. Wednesday, May 23rd at 6pm will be a team bonding party for the whole family! Come meet your team, enjoy some games for the whole family and start the season with a fun evening! Thursday, May 24th at 6pm-7:30pm all teams will practice. TEAM EVO This year EVO will be offering 3 programs based on athlete level, commitment and financial obligations. All 3 programs will be equally valued and trained by one of our experienced EVO coaches. More detials on Pricing chart page. PREP TEAMS (6 month commitment) We are excited to offer 2 prep teams for our entry level cheerleaders. These teams have a lower financial responsibility and time commitment. These teams will compete at 2 competitions within a 2 hour travel distance and practice once per week. XCEL TEAMS (10 month commitment) Xcel teams are for those athletes ready to commit to a full year of all-star cheer. These teams will compete at 4 competitions inside the state of Florida and practice 2 days per week. ELITE TEAMS (11 month commitment) These teams will be formed based on experience, reliability and performance. Athletes will be held to the highest EVO standards and compete at 6 competitions, 2 of which will be large and potentially out of state.

TEAM ADJUSTMENTS Athletes may be moved to more appropriate teams for any of the following reasons: If athletes are placed on a team without the maximum skills required for that level they may be moved if the skills are not reached If athlete s commitment level changes If athletes develop a mental block and are no longer able to perform skills throughout the season MANDATORY PARENT MEETING All teams will have a mandatory parent information meeting at the start of their first practice in June - week of 6/4. Their practice schedule will be given to them on Wednesday, May 23rd at 6pm at the team bonding party. IMG SIDE LINE VARSITY CHEERLEADING Exciting news for EVO athletes! ONLY actively registered EVO athletes (team or class athletes and IMG members will have the opportunity to cheer for a Varsity side line cheerleading team at IMG Academy during the 2018-2019 academic year. We are still waiting to get our final game schedule and details. Sign ups begin June 1st. Members must be starting 7th grade or above starting August 2018. Participating IMG cheerleaders may receive credit towards their EVO account based on game attendance. *Estimated 1 practice per week and up to 14 games. IMPORTANT DATES TEAM/TEAMMATE REVEALS Monday, May 21st at 6pm Team Reveals Memorial Week: The entire week of Memorial day EVO will be closed and will re-open June 4th Season Kickoff at Siesta June 2nd: Come enjoy the Florida sunshine and meet team members and families from all competitive EVO programs! Mandatory Parent Meeting: first scheduled practice during week of June 4th 4th of July Break: CLOSED Only July 4th Cora Physicals July 28th: This event is FREE and will suffice all FHSAA Consignment Day August 11th. More details on purchasing used apparel will be announced closer to date. Uniform Sizing Date w/mandatory parent for sign offs: August 13th-14th Choreography: TBD but will occur after school starts. Could possibly be a weekend. Labor Day: CLOSED September 3th Lock in / Team Bonding: September 22nd Thanksgiving: November 19th - November 23rd, Practice not mandatory & may be canceled. Clinics TBD. Holiday Party: tentatively scheduled for December 20th Winter Break: December 21th - January 7th, Practice not mandatory & may be canceled. Clinics TBD. Photo day: January date TBD. TUITION FEES (Non-Refundable) PRICING Details on following pricing chart. These fees are determined by your team placement and are due on the 1st of every month. Tuition fee details on following page. A late fee of $15 will be added to your EVO Parent Portal account if tuition is not paid by the 8th of the month. ASSESSMENT FEES (Non-Refundable & Seperate from Tuition) Assessment fee details on following page. Assessment fees include: competition fees, 1 tank/short combo, bow, shoes, makeup, choreography, & music. All assessment fees will be paid through EVO Cheer Assessment iclass account. This account is separate from EVO Parent Portal tuition account. To be a team member, parents are REQUIRED to store a valid credit card on both iclass accounts: 1)EVO Parent Portal and 2) EVO Cheer Assessment. Credit cards will be run on designated date specified below. If parents would like to pay by different means, payment must be made online or at the front desk prior to the due date. EVO is not able to change payment type or refund cards AFTER designated due dates. No refunds of any kind for any reason on any assessment fee. ADDITIONAL FEES / FUNDRAISING Additional fees are specificed on the Pricing Chart. Fundraising will be available through parent run booster club. USASF MEMBERSHIP FEE Must be completed and confirmed with the designated EVO staff (we will designate the staffer at the date approaches) by September 1, 2018. USASF (United States All Star Federation) is the governing body for all competitive all-star cheerleading. Their website is extremely helpful, especially if you are new to this sport. You can find more information about age rules, level requirements, registration, membership payments and more at www.usasf.net. USASF states that all athletes must pay an annual $30 membership fee to be eligible to compete. This $30 fee must be paid by September 1st. DISCOUNTS SIBLINGS There is a 20% discount off the monthly base tuition for all additional siblings. First child pays full price. MALE CHEERLEADERS Males 12 years old and up can receive a credit for monthly tuition if they attend EVO Workdays. Failure to attend will result in a $25 fee added to account each month. Must attend and participate during weekly stunt class (currently scheduled on Tuesdays before practice but subject to change). In addition, all male cheerleaders will be required to attend 4 EVO workdays to be eligible for male cheerleader discount. First available workdays can be scheduled the week of Memorial Week during EVO s annual Clean House. The monthly workday will be listed on your monthly team calendar. Eligible athletes are still responsible for assessment fees. CROSSOVERS Crossovers monthly tuition will be an additional $15 per month + reduced comp fees set by individual competitions. Parents will be required to participate in additional fundraising events designated specifically for cross over fees. Parents also required to sign all waivers including increase crossover payment waiver in the Payment Section

COMPETITION INFORMATION COMPETITION PRACTICE ATTENDANCE POLICY The two practices prior to a competition are extremely important in order to compete. Coaches reserve the right to change spots or remove absent or injured athletes from that upcoming competition. Athletes that miss a competition event, for ANY reason (including missing a mandatory practice), will be charged a $150 Fee. This fee will be immediately charged to your EVO account. We are implementing this fee to ensure that all members are committed to all competitions. It is extremely stressful for all coaches and athletes when someone has to miss. COMPETITION SCHEDULE We do not have our competition schedule finalized at this time because many companies have not released their schedules; however, we do have a few important dates for you to be aware of. *Full 2018 2019 Competition Schedule will be published no later than August 1st along with travel information. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE PLANNING YOUR VACATION TRAVEL DATES AROUND THESE COMPETITIONS. ALL OUT NATIONALS (*potentially all teams) This competition is held at Gaylord Palm Resorts February 16nd-17th. UCA NATIONALS (*potentially XCEL & Elite teams only) This competition is held at the Wide World of Sports March 9th-10th. All athletes will receive a 3-day park hopper pass to the Disney Parks with their entry fee This is already included in your assessment fees. ATTENDANCE POLICIES You are expected to attend all practices, exhibitions, and competitions as a team. Our routines incorporate every team member. One member s absence has a negative impact on the entire team. SUMMER POLICY (May 21rd - August 13th) Athletes may miss practice with an approved valid reason. See ABSENCE NOTIFICATION below. Please give the coaches at least ONE WEEK notice for planned vacations. Valid reasons for missing practices are vacations, contagious illness, death in family or any school functions. Other reasons, such as sunburns, fatigue, concerts, anniversaries, birthdays and not having a ride are NOT valid reasons to miss practice. Athletes missing excessive practices, whether the absences were for valid reasons or not, may be removed from the program. Summer practice attendance is required and is extremely crucial for the success of our teams. IN-SEASON POLICY (August 20th April 30th) All practices are mandatory after August 13th. Athletes missing excessive practices, whether the absences were for valid reasons or not, will meet with Jimmy to discuss situation and placement options. ABSENCE NOTIFICATION Please call EVO at 941-222-0888 for all absences. Follow the instructions to leave a voicemail for Jimmy Lassiter in the cheerleading program. Please include a detailed explanation for why your athlete is missing. Please do not email, text or call any staff to report an absence every absence needs to be reported through the voicemail system. If you are unable to commit to our full year attendance policy, your family may need to consider joining our Mid- Season REC team instead information for this program will be released in the Fall.

PAYMENT POLICIES I accept, on behalf of my child(ren), a position(s) being offered to my child(ren) on an EVO team. I understand that I am responsible for full payment of tuition and assessments. I understand there will be no refunds of any kind. I understand that failure to fulfill my financial obligation may result in athlete suspension from practices and meets/competitions/tournaments until the payments have been made; or dismissal from EVO Athletics. I also understand EVO Athletics reserves the right to use outside collection agencies should I fail to meet my full financial agreement. I have read and acknowledge the following: Tuition payments cover a season of training. Tuition does not change based on more or less practices in any given month. Paying tuition does not pay for the right to perform at competition. In the event your child is injured and unable to participate for an extended period of time, program payments must still be paid. Your child should continue to attend practice with limited participation based on Doctor Recommendation. Fundraising is available through the parent run Booster Club to raise all or a portion of your assessment costs for this program. If you join the program after the start of the season you will owe any missed fees. If your child should leave the program for any reason prior to the end of the season, you will incur a $250 cancellation fee. All families must have two active iclass accounts: 1) EVO Parent Portal AND 2) EVO Cheer Assessment Portal acounts, keep a valid credit card on both accounts and sign all digital waivers located in these accounts. Autopayment is required for monthly tuition through your EVO Parent Portal. A valid credit card must be on file. Monthly tuition will be autodrafted from your EVO Parent Portal on the first Monday of the month. A $15 late fee will be added to accounts on the second Monday of the month. Assessment Fees will be autodrafted from the EVO Cheer Assessment iclass account on the designated schedule based on info packet Pricing Page. All Assessment Fees and Tuition Fees are Non-Refundable for any reason. All payments made are non-refundable for any reason including leaving the program prior to the end of the season for any reason including injury. GENERAL RULES & POLICIES Only team athletes are permitted into the gym. Family, siblings and friends must watch from the viewing area. No food is permitted inside the gym. Every child must come to the gym with their own water bottle. Everyone must clean up after themselves & throw trash away. Be on time! Cell phones must be left in team cubbies, turned OFF and may not be checked at any time during practice. EVO is not liable for any personal items left in the gym at any time. You must check your email frequently to stay informed on any upcoming important information. As well as our Facebook Group: Private EVO Cheer Group Page EVO will not approve any privately monogrammed clothing or accessories bearing the gym name or logo. All clothing bearing the gym or team names or logos must be purchased through the gym. Parental support plays an extremely important role in the success of your athlete and the team. We hope that you will be involved in the program and spend as much time as possible supporting your child. Parents agree NOT to use restriction from practices as a form of punishment for their child. Parents are responsible for travel arrangements for their child including transportation and hotel accommodations. All cheerleaders must be in a hotel room with a parent. All families are expected to stay at the required stay and play hotels and to book rooms by the appropriate deadline. If no Stay and Play hotel is required, a reduced rate at a hotel will be offered but not mandatory. Threatening to quit will result in automatic dismissal from the program. No questions asked. The actions of Parents CAN affect the athletes involvement in EVO program. Negative attitudes in any way will not be tolerated. All absenses must be called in at 941-222-0888 and directed to the cheer extension. Leave a voicemail if phone is not answered.. All practices are mandatory after August 13th. EVO RESERVES THE RIGHT TO: Place athletes on the team it feels will best suit them and the program. Close the viewing of practices at any time. Decide the role and position an athlete will play on their team. Request an athlete take additional classes or clinics to improve their skill level. Require additional or longer practices if necessary for the team. Move, replace, add, suspend or dismiss an athlete from a team or the program at any time during the year based on criteria including: Attendance, Injury, Attitude, Skills, and Finances & Parent Negativity. Reevaluate an athlete s position on the team due to the loss of skills that were previously performed at tryouts. ALL ATHLETES MUST: Make EVO a priority over other extracurricular activities. Hand in School Cheerleading Calendars if you are participating on a school squad at the beginning of the month. Attend all practices during the summer when they are in town. Athletes will Jump/Condition AFTER practice if tardy or in incorrect attire. Do all that is necessary to ensure on time arrivals to practices and other events and not leave practice early. Attend and be prepared to participate in all EVO activities including additional practices that may be scheduled to ensure success of our teams. Arrive 15 minutes early to all activities including practices and competitions. DRESS CODE POLICY Hair must be worn off the shoulders with bow in and out of the face at practice. Nails must be trimmed shorter than fingertips. No jewelry at practice or competition. All piercings must be removed for practice & competition. This is Nonnegotiable, this is a safety issue! All lost or damaged practice or competition uniform pieces must be replaced. If you are late or dressed incorrectly you will jump/condition after practice. Low cut white socks are to be worn with the competition uniform. Only certain items may be worn at competition the detail sheet will always specify. A gym bag and water bottle should be brought to each practice. Practice days will be designated Blue or Black attire days on athlete s practice calendars. Blue and Black apparel items will be offered in the EVO proshop and EVO presale throughout the season. Athletes are encourages to wear EVO blue or black apparel but are not required to specifically wear EVO brand. Athletes that show up in clothing outside of their designated attire color will be charged a $5 fee immediately to their parent account for purchase of appropriate color tank fee. CONDUCT & BEHAVIOR All program members should set a positive example for others to follow. Be respectful and courteous to everyone including coaches & teammates at all times. Issues will NOT be address at competitions OR practices. Please schedule an appointment to speak with a coach or staff member to discuss any issues that arise. You are to not make negative facial expressions, talk under your breath, roll your eyes, or make rude gestures of any kind. You are to refrain from gossip and negative talk about the staff, cheerleaders, parents, or other programs on any social media website such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Vine, Etc. Accept all team placements with true dignity and class. Do not post any photos of yourself or others in EVO attire acting in a negative manner that would discredit the gym s reputation. Come to practice with a smile ready to work hard. Any prize money earned at competition will be used in the program at the discretion of EVO management & staff. Support and congratulate other teams at competition. No provate group chats amonst team atheltes and or parents will be allowed of any kind. Lying could be grounds for dismissal from the program and gym. Bully by Athletes and Parents whether in person, over social media or digital conversations will be grounds for dismissal from the program and gym. EVO Athletics has a ZERO tolerance policy for bullying. Negativity towards EVO, directors, coaches, athletes, parents or cutomers by athletes OR parents could be grounds for athlete dismissal from the program and gym.
