For most people, driving is their most hazardous daily activity, and, seldom recognized, car crashes are the leading cause of violence in most communities. Teens are our most vulnerable drivers. We educate students, face-to-face to help them understand the responsibilities that go along with using a set of car keys. SurvivetheDrive, is an independent, not-for-profit, service. It is an evidence-based, driver crash-preventive educational program focusing on new drivers Automotive Violence Prevention.

-Behind the Wheel- Teen friendly, comprehensive and cost effective Defensive Driver Education. Survive the Drive has created a safety program based on information and experience gathered by their professional staff and Board of Directors, each offering decades of service, education and experience in driver training, transportation safety and auto racing instruction. The organization s program is designed to educate novice drivers through the use of a multi-media presentation and a hands-on defensive driver training course. The hands-on defensive driver training course was developed to demonstrate crash avoidance maneuvers, skid capability, vehicle control, braking exercises and new car autonomous technologies.

Donations from businesses, clubs, organizations and individuals help Survive the Drive (a non-profit 501(c)3 organization) raise awareness of distracted driver injuries and fatalities in our communities. Through our fund raising efforts, Survive the Drive is able to offer our Teen Driver Safety presentations to high schools and community groups, and our Behind the Wheel defensive driver training course to individuals, parents and teens. What they re saying Hillside Program, Westchester County, NY I thought that the presentation at Hillside went very well. It's not an easy group to keep engaged but Bob did a great job! Bob Green is a skilled and knowledgeable speaker who was able to engage our often resistive students and provide them with information that had a powerful impact on their outlook towards driving. Survive the Drive warns teens against distractions Green s rapid-fire presentation combines basic anatomy and personal anecdotes Students may have learned something from Green. After the presentation a student who got her driver s license in December, said, "I won t text while driving anymore." RHAM High School, CT Your dynamic, high energy talk had a positive effect on the students. They talked about it throughout the day. Pine Bush High School, NY I thought Bob did a great job, and we (students and staff) appreciated his enthusiasm and candor in dealing with a very difficult subject. Again thank you and Bob for providing this valuable service to our students. Windham-Ashland-Jewett Central School District, NY He was great! He had a ton of energy, was wonderful with the students and I was very excited that he included information about texting while driving and drunk driving this year.
