Special Classes HHF $500+ Gambler s Choice Class Each obstacle in the arena carries from 20 to 120 points, depending upon difficulty. At the whistle the rider will cross the start line in either direction. He will have 60 seconds to jump any obstacles (excluding the Joker fence) in either direction and in any order, accumulating as many points as possible. Each jump may be jumped a maximum of 2 times. He will then cross the finish line so that his time may be recorded. No points are awarded for an obstacle knocked down and it may not be jumped again. Refusals are penalized only by the time lost in the attempt. At the end of the course the rider is given the option (20 seconds) to attempt the Joker jump after the whistle is sounded. If the attempt is successful, 200 points is added to the contestant s score. If not, 200 points is deducted. The contestant may elect not to attempt the Joker, in which case the score stands. The competitor with the most points in the fastest time will be the winner. Five dollars will be added back from each entry and the prize money will be divided as follows: 1 st place = 45%, 2 nd place 25%, 3 rd place 15%, 4 th place 10%, 5 th place 5%. Entry fee - $45.
