TENERIFE (CANARY ISLANDS), has been selected to host the International Boxing Tournament BOXAM 2016 due to its great importance as a boxing center of the country. It is also a tourist city with an important sports center of Spain. 4. ELIGIBILITY OF BOXER AND AGE CLASSIFICATION Age Classification: Boxers (Men and Women) between the ages of 19 and 40 will be eligible to compete (born between January 1, 1997 and December 31, 1976) Men 10 Weight Categories: 46-49kg, 52kg, 56kg, 60kg, 64kg, 69kg, 75kg, 81kg, 91kg, 91+kg Women 5 Weight Categories: 51kg, 54kg, 60kg, 64kg, 75kg Weight Classification: 5. COMPOSITION OF OFFICIAL DELEGATION: Each Team Delegation can have the following number of officials: 1 3 Boxers 1 coach + 1 official +1 R/J AIBA. 4 6 Boxers 2 coach + 1 official +1 R/J AIBA. 7 15 Boxers 3 coach + 1 official +1 R/J AIBA. 6. NUMBER OF ROUNDS: Men: Three (3) rounds of three (3) minutes, one (1) minute rest between rounds Women: Four (4) rounds of two (2) minutes, one (1) minute rest between rounds 7. SCORING SYSTEM AIBA Scoring System - 10 Point Must-Scoring System will be used. 8. REFEREES AND JUDGES R&J are sent by National Federations. For the fair play and successful competition, it is mandatory to NFs to bring their AIBA R&J 1, 2 or 3 Stars.
9. REGISTRATION FORMS Please filled the all attached forms, print and send them all back to the Organizing Committee, signed by the National Federation s President or Secretary General till: a. REQUIREMENTS a) All Boxers must bring along with them: Record book with annual medicals duly completed and updated Current and valid Passport b) Each Team Delegation must bring the following: National flag 1x1.5 m National anthem (on MP3 or CD) c) Boxer s Uniform: Each boxer must bring two sets of uniform. The colors of these two sets of uniform must be in accordance with AIBA Technical and Competition Rules. 11. TRANSPORTATION All the delegates will be welcomed at Tenerife Airport North (formerly of Los Rodeos Airport) by the staff of the Organizing Committee to be transported to the Hotel. The Organizing Committee will provide local transportation to all participants between the airport and the hotel and the competition venue free of charge. Each National Federation will organize and pay for the travel arrangements for their athletes and officials from their country to and from Tenerife Airport North (formerly of Los Rodeos Airport) to their country.
12. ACCOMMODATION A. Room Rates for Team Delegations are as follows: For double occupancy (2 persons per EUR 65 per person, room - twin beds) including 3 meals For single occupancy (1 person per EUR 80 per person, room) including 3 meals per day, per day, The room rates are provided for the tournament period only and apply from May 06 to May 08, 2016. B. Payment of Hotel Room Charges: All travel expenses must be covered by participating teams. The Spanish Boxing Federation will provide local transportations for all the teams the 06th and the 08th of May. The teams arriving before 06 May and leaving after 08 May must supply their accommodation and meal costs of 100 EURO per person, per day. INSURANCE All participants are requested to get their own travel and medical insurance.
14. VISA Those countries that need entry visas for Spain must send us: 1. list with the names of participants, 2. birth dates 3. the passport numbers 4. Copies of passport Not later than 05 April 2015 and contact Embassy of Spain in their countries in advance or the nearest Consulate of Spain in neighboring countries. The organizing committee will provide all the necessary facilities for all the participating countries to enter into Spain. To ensure and speed up the visa application process, please remind to fill in the final Entry form carefully and send it to the organizing committee in due time. Based on this form the organizing committee will issue a formal visa support letter to facilitate the visa procedure.
