( 1.00 OF EVERY ENTRY FEE WILL GO INTO A PRIZE POT WHICH WILL BE AWARDED TO THE LEAGUE WINNER) 1. For registered horses, to be ridden by Full, Associate or Junior members. 2. Table A7, Single Phase or Two Phase 3. Speed 325mpm 4. Numbers to qualify: Approx. 24 horse/rider combinations based on League Points awarded in the equine MATRIX qualifiers. Allocation of Points: Points will be awarded to horse/rider combinations placed 8th = or higher on the following scale; 1st 12 points 2nd 9 points 3rd 8 points 4th 7 points 5th 6 points 6th 5 points 7th 4 points 8th 3 points (Horse/rider combinations placed equal will share equally the total points attributable to the combined placings (for example, four riders placed 4th equal receive 7 + 6 + 5 + 4 divided by 4 = 5.5 points each). In the event of equality of League Points at the end of the series, the highest placed competitor on equal points in the equine MATRIX & Thame Horse & Country Show 1.05m Open Final will be the winner of the equine MATRIX League. The winner of the equine MATRIX & Thame Horse & Country Show 1.05m League must be a starter in the equine MATRIX & Thame Horse & Country Show 1.05m Final. In addition, the winner of the Final will be crowned the Champion for a twelve-month period. Special Rules NUMBERS TO QUALIFY: APPROX 24 RIDERS WILL QUALIFY FOR THE equine MATRIX 2017 FINAL AT THE Thame Horse & Country Show. (Cherwell Competition Centre reserves the right to change the venue for the Final) Horse/rider combinations will qualify, based on points accumulated from the equine MATRIX qualifiers held at Cherwell Competition Centre throughout the summer 2017 season. Horse/Rider combinations may enter as many equine MATRIX qualifiers as they like. In the event of equal place, all those on equal points will qualify unless the total qualifiers exceed 26. In this event numbers to qualify will be rounded down to less than 24. Qualified horse / rider combinations will be invited to contest the final to be held at the Thame Horse & Country Show in September 2017. The winner of the equine MATRIX & Thame Horse & Country Show 1.05m Final will win 250 First Prize, Winners Rug, and Sash The winner of the equine MATRIX & Thame Horse & Country Show 1.05m League will be awarded the total cash pot made up of a 1.00 for every 1.05m starter in each of the qualifiers and a Sash. Rules & Regulations 1 The Show Organiser referred to in these Rules and Regulations shall hereinafter mean Cherwell Competition Centre. The Cherwell Competition Centre Shows will hereinafter be referred to as the Show.
2 The Show, Show Organiser, Volunteers and Officials do not accept liability for any accident, damage, injury, theft or illness to horses, riders, owners, spectators or any other person or property whatsoever. 3 The Show Organiser retains as its absolute discretion the right to decline or exclude or remove any person or animal from the show or future shows or return any entry fee without being required to assign reason or being liable for any compensation. 4 Competitions The Show Organiser reserves the right to cancel, add to, or amend any of the competitions, as they think fit, with the approval of the British Show jumping. Some prizes may be withheld under rule 76.6. 5 Smoking Smoking is not permitted within any of the showground buildings or stables. Please do not throw cigarette ends on the floor. For litter please use the bins provided. 6 Collecting Ring All warming up must be done in the designated Collecting Rings provided. Persons found abusing horses on the showground may be asked to leave. 7 Refund of Entry Refunds will only be in accordance with British Show jumping Rule 79.5.1. 8 Vehicles The Show Organiser reserves the right to remove any vehicle which is obstructing any access to or from the ground even if locked and unattended. The Show Organiser will not be liable for any injury, loss or damage occasioned by such removal. 9 Dogs Dogs are permitted on the show ground but they must be kept on a lead at all times. If, in the opinion of the Show organiser, any person fails to control their dog/s they may be asked to leave the Showground. 10 Prize Giving The Show organiser reserves the right to withhold prizes if competitors do not attend the Official Prize Giving. 11 Objections Objection should be made in writing in accordance to British Show Jumping. Rule 198. Two Show Stewards will be appointed to the Show in accordance to Rule 96.2 12 Official Photographs Any photographs taken by the Official Photographer may be used by the show organiser for promotional purposes. 13 First Aid A total of 5 per day per competitor will be charged towards medical cover during the hours of competition. 14 Vaccination Certificate All horses at the show must have a current and valid certificate of vaccination against Equine Influenza. There will be random checking of certificates and any horse found without a valid certificate will be asked to leave the show ground. 15 Stallions No person shall allow a stallion for which he/she is responsible as owner, lessee, authorised agent or rider to compete or be prepared to compete, in any class without taking adequate precautions to ensure other persons are not put at risk of injury. 16 Close of Entries Entries will close at the start of each class. Should space be available late entries may be accepted with an additional fee of 5 being charged per entry. 17 ANY PERSON (S) & THEIR ASSOCIATES FOUND MISBEHAVING OR CAUSING DAMAGE WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE VENUE IMMEDIATELY
