Thursday, January 16 th - Ladies Day Format - Irish Rumble - Players may make their own foursome. Using the stableford format players must record the best stableford score on holes #1-6, the best two stableford scores on holes #7-12, the best three stableford scores on holes #13-17, and all four stableford scores on hole #18. Players will receive 95% of their handicap. The event will be flighted based on the number of teams. Saturday, January 18 th - Men s Day Sunday, January 19 th - Sunday Couples Time 12:30 pm Shotgun Format Designated Hitter 4 person team Each player will tee off. After the tee shot, each team must pick one player whose score will count for that hole. That person is the Designated Hitter. We will then take the best score of the other 3 players, and combine it with DH score for the team score. Each player must be used as the DH at least 3 times. The three holes will be thrown out from the team score. All players will receive 95% of their handicap. April 11 th and 12 th - Verandah Cup Dates April 11 th and 12 th (Pairings party will be the 10 th at 5:00pm) Times Friday the 11 th 12:00 pm shotgun Saturday the 12 th AM tee times using both courses Format Team Match Play. Day one Better Ball of Partners Day two Individual Matches Each hole in each match is worth one point. The winning team will be the team with the most points after all matches. Teams will be determined by selection of the Captains. Captains will match genders and handicaps in the selection process to make things as fair and equitable as possible. Nathan Groce will be the Captain for one team and Chris Shultis will be the captain for the other team. They will select at least one man and one woman to serve as Co-Captains for their teams. Teams will be selected by random draw by the Captains. Players will be placed into ABCD categories to ensure that the teams are matched fairly. When an A player is drawn by one captain, the other captain will select an A player as well and this process will continue until all players are placed on a team. Matches will be determined by the captains at the Pairings Party for Day one and will be made following day one play for day two. Thursday, April 17 th - Ladies Closing Day Time 8:45 am shotgun Formats Scramble w/ 9 Holers - Teams will be paired by ABCD format by the golf shop. Each player will hit their own tee shot and the team will choose the best one. All players will play their 2 nd shots from this chosen location and repeat this process for ALL shots until the ball is holed. Each team member must contribute a minimum of 3 selected tee shots for the team. Team handicap will be 10% of the sum of all players handicaps added together. Prizes will be awarded to the lowest team scores
Saturday, April 19 th - Men s Closing Day Thursday, April 24 th - Ladies Day 40 Balls- Teams will be paired by ABCD method by the golf shop. On each hole of an 18-hole round, the team must decide which team members' scores will count on that hole. At the end of 18 holes, 40 such scores must have been counted, and those 40 scores - or 40 balls - make up the team's final score. The choice of which balls to use is made after completing each hole. For Example: All four players complete Hole 1; before reaching the next tee, the team decides to use the scores of A and C for No. 1. After completing Hole 2 but before reaching the third tee, the team decides to use the scores of B, C and D for No. 2; and so on, counting 40 scores total over 18 holes. There must be 10 NET scores from each member of the team that has to be used over the 18 holes and at least one ball of the 40 must be used on every hole. Players will receive 95% of their handicap.
