Aerial Lift Rescue Training Course Description Tech Safety Lines SRK-11 Rescue Training course is specifically designed for employees who work on aerial lifts. Students learn to utilize rescue tools and procedures specifically developed for this industry. This intensive one day course highlights TSL s Self-Rescue Kit (SRK-11 ) and StepWise Lanyard. Students begin by learning how to operate each component of the Self-Rescue Kit, the inspection process, and how to keep the Kit packed and eventready. We utilize instructor demonstrations and hands-on practice to introduce the SRK-11. Each student has his own kit - assuring independent, immediate, and adaptable escape and Self-Rescue capability! Tech Safety Lines Self-Rescue Kit utilizes high heat rope with a tensile strength exceeding 6,500 lbs. The SRK-11 incorporates the Military Compact Descender, the MCD. This controlled descent device, which features a dual breaking system, provides a rapid means of escape from anywhere. Students have the opportunity to make multiple escapes from an aerial platform. The students move on to learn about TSL s patented StepWise Fall Arrest Lanyard. The StepWise has both a shock absorber and a built-in webbed ladder that can be deployed by the fallen worker. This ladder, which is attached above the victim s head, provides hammock-style footholds to relieve pressure from his harness, thus creating a place of refuge while awaiting rescue. However, since the StepWise Lanyard also incorporates a built-in anchor point, the fallen worker can use these two tools together to perform a Self-Rescue safely lowering himself all the way to the ground without assistance from other workers! Students will actually perform Self-Rescue procedures from a deployed StepWise Lanyard.
