Lauren is willing to speak to the media and any audience members at each stop location. Crisis centers are free to build their own events around Lauren s stop. Examples include: recruiting walkers to join her during part of her walk, hosting her for a media event, having her there to help kick off a rape crisis center event, etc.
What Centers Can Expect Lauren will be walking and will be followed by a caravan that includes a bus She will be blogging, taking video and photos, and viewers will be able to follow her progress on her website Media will be present. Lauren has a a communications team that is working on various media outlet exposures. Lauren will be tired! She is excited about visiting centers and spreading the word, but will also need rest. She can speak at centers for about 20 minutes and participate in other activities as requested.
What Centers Can Expect Centers can expect to be contacted by a member of Lauren s team individually to discuss the details of events. Centers will be asked to provide information on their events including location, nature of the event, and any help they need from Lauren s team to set up. Lauren s team will provide them with information such as when to expect Lauren in town, etc. Centers can expect to receive media attention about their services. They should be prepared with statements, literature, and a contact person.
