M.Y. VICKY - CREW The crew on board M.Y. VICKY represent a variety of countries, ranging from Great Britain, Italy, Philippines, Croatia and over to the antipodes of Australia & New Zealand. Most of the crew have been working together for some time on board VICKY and as such a tight family has formed. Brendan P. O Brien Captain Brendan s love for the ocean, came from growing up beside the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. At the age of 19, he ventured past the reefs and out into the deeper waters, where he started working on board a boutique Cruise Ship. Since then he has worked on a variety of Ships and Yachts around the world. From tranquil atolls of the of the Pacific, through to the busy frigid waters of the North Sea. During his career, Brendan has clocked over 180,000 nautical miles and has logged nearly 500 dives in some of the most beautiful locations in the world. At the age of 29, he went on to hold his first Command. Since then he has worked on board luxury yachts up to 70m in length around the world. Brendan has successfully and safely commanded M.Y.VICKY since January, 2013 Over his 17 years at sea, he has built up an extensive knowledge of cruising grounds. Chartering in such areas as the: Caribbean Central America Central & Western Pacific East & Western Mediterranean Sea
Josip Polombito Chief Engineer Josip, who is known best by friends as Pino, originates from the coastal city of Zadar, Croatia. This is where his immense passion for the ocean comes from. As the son of a sailor, it was an obvious move to follow in his father s footsteps and attending Maritime College, where he studied Marine Engineering. Pino completed his engineering qualifications and proceeded to sea. Over time continued his studies, obtaining his Chief Engineer Unlimited. After sailing for eleven years on Chevron Oil & Co in San Francisco, he worked his way up to hold the rank of Chief Engineer. In 2012 he refreshed his certificates and he decided to join the yachting industry to follow his passion for the ocean. Pino loves to spend his free time fishing, relaxing with his family and grandchildren back at home in Croatia. Drazen Koludrovic Chief Engineer Drazen was born and raised in Croatia, his dream to become an Engineer was realised through many years of hard work and study. He enjoys being an engineer on yachts, as he is always gaining new skills and knowledge, while the nature of the industry allows him to travel the globe and meet new people at the same time. Drazen comes from a commercial background and has worked on yachts as Chief Engineer for 9 years. Prior to this he spent 10 years on commercial vessels, in particular Cruise Ships such as the Norwegian Star and Norwegian Crown. When not working on yachts, Drazen takes pleasure in traveling with his 2 children and wife. He has a passion for the restoration of classic cars and motorbikes. His never give up attitude and methodical problem solving makes him a vital member of our team. Andrew Mullen 2 nd Engineer Andrew was born and raised in the historical county of Ayrshire, located in South West Scotland. After finishing school, he wanted to travel and see the world by sea. So he moved to Glasgow to start his Engineering Cadetship at the esteemed College of Nautical Studies. In due course he finished his studies and received his qualification by the age of 21. His first fulltime employment was with James Fisher & Sons as 3 rd Engineer. After serving with J.F. & Sons, he undertook a sabbatical, travelling to Australia and Thailand. His main hobby and undying love of life has to be football (Soccer). He has enjoyed playing and watching football ever since he can remember. Joining the yachting industry is new to him but something that he is very excited about. He would be more than happy to assist in any way. Denis Cosentino Chef Denis was born & raised in the coastal region of Liguria, North West Italy. Coming from a family of agricultural producers, he grew up running around vineyards and playing in olive groves. It is obvious then, where his passion for food originated from. To feed his curiosity & learn more, he felt the next step would be to start work in restaurant. Over his career he has worked at a variety restaurants, including the Michelin Star restaurant Castellina (Chianti), which in turn led him into the world of Yachting. In his free time Denis likes to take care of his family owned oil and wine production and spend a quality time with his family and friends back in Italy.
Dominic O Donnell Chief Officer Dom grew up on the Sunshine Coast of Australia and has been an avid water person all his life. He has a great passion for surfing, always trying to squeeze in a paddle whenever possible. He is also (literally, I might add) a massive follower of Formula 1, Rugby or any other sport in which Australia excels. Dominic began his yachting career eight years ago and has since crewed a number of busy charter yachts in the 45m to 60m range, cruising throughout the Mediterranean and Caribbean. His love of all water sports and fun, outgoing nature will ensure an enjoyable & safe time aboard. Taylor Merrutia Boson Taylor grew up along the river in Perth, Western Australia. With a huge love for sailing as a junior, his competitive and confident attitude lead him to highly succeed in both state and national competitions. His love and knowledge for boating lead him to his first job on a yacht, working in the remote Kimberly area of Western Australia. Taylor has a passion for scuba diving, fishing, travel, friends and family. Taylor has chosen to expand his knowledge and always seems to be studying in his spare time in to learn more. He is always up for a conversation and enjoys interacting with guests, on and off the water.
Ari Davidson Deckhand Ari grew up overlooking the harbour in Wellington, the capital of New Zealand. After completing school, Ari worked on the East by West Ferry providing tours of Wellington Harbour. With a strong passion for the outdoors, Ari spent much of his childhood exploring New Zealand's coastal and mountain spots; camping, hiking, fishing and sailing. Ari's love of boating, travelling and meeting people from different cultures brought him to the other side of the world to live and work on board yachts. Ari is a keen learner with a positive attitude and is eager to encourage guests to have some fun on the water. Adrian Bridger Deckhand Adrian is from a small fishing town on the mid-west coast of Australia, he grew up only meters from the beach and spent every possible moment in the water surfing, diving, fishing, jet skiing, kayaking or keeping other beachgoers safe as a volunteer lifeguard. Adrian is also a qualified Electrician who has worked in some of the most remote mine sites located in Australia s arid north. Adrian is an adventure seeker who has spent a number of years living in and exploring the rocky mountains of Canada and North America to find the best snow to ski, the steepest hiking trails to conquer and the largest river rapids raft. Adrian loves meeting new people from different countries and backgrounds and is happy to answer any questions about water sports.
Josipa Jurinic Chief Stewardess Josipa comes from Zadar, a beautiful town on Croatian coastline. After completing her studies in Culture and Tourism at University, she went on to work as a Tourist Guide in her home town of Zadar. Before joining the yachting industry she also worked in an agency and a casino as croupier. Following her passion to travel, she decided to join the world of yachting in 2011 and her natural front of house skills shone straight away. Over the past two years she moulded the interior department to provide guests with smart service, yet in a relaxed atmosphere. In her off time she enjoys reading, jogging and exploring the world. You will find Josipa, hard working, fun loving & friendly character. Josipa speaks fluent English & Italian, as well as Croatian. She enjoys helping guests and is great at making people feel welcomed on board. Joana Mae Ancot 2nd stewardess Known as JM by her friends, she originally comes from Cebu City. Picturesque and beautiful is the Capital of the Island province of the Philippines. After studying of Bachelor of Tourism she started as a Barista in Coffee shop for 2 years. JM is a passionate traveller and dreams of traveling around the world. She started her career of travelling by working in Catamaran boat, a passenger vessel which sailed around the island of Cebu. In 2010 she embarked on her yachting career, with the aim of fulfilling her passion for travelling as well as to embrace the opportunity of working with people from all over the world. JM is a friendly, bubbly and approachable person.
Marija Franicevic Stewardess Marija comes from the island Hvar, on the Southern coastline of Croatia. She boast that it is the prettiest and the happiest place in Europe. She has a strong interest for foreign languages, and was invited to attended the advance school of Andrija Kacic Miosic in Makarska. After her secondary education, she went on to study at the University of Economics in Split, where she obtained a Degree in Tourism, with an Honours in Project Management. She is very interested at art and history. During her spare time she loves to paint. She also enjoys travelling and exploring different cultures and has a flare for Latin Dancing. Her dream is to one day travel to 3 rd world countries, spending time at volunteer projects. She is very fun person and great with children. Marija has a relaxed nature and has the wonderful ability to always see the good in people. Polly Randell Stewardess Polly is coming all the way from the little African country, Zimbabwe. Growing up on a working dairy farm amongst her large boisterous family. Polly has a passion for people, travel, foreign languages and interior design. Polly threw herself into studying Business French, Media and Branding at the University of Cape Town, South Africa, where she graduated with Honours and a zest for creativity and detail. Deciding to avoid the 9 to 5 office desk line of work, she chose to take up the challenge of hospitality and looked to the yachting industry for a chance to learn the best levels of service with style, and a chance for adventure. Polly is currently serving her first season in the Super Yacht Industry and hopes to enjoy many more exciting years at sea.
