The results are as follows: Only one team of the 5 came into the clubhouse without their mojo ball and they lost it on hole 18... ouch! We must be getting smarter or better, because I think this may be a record!! Team Waymire, Serafin, Beso and Hodgson brought in the winning Mojo Score of 73. Team Mendes, Zaslove, Nelson and Helzer brought in a 2ball net total of 132 for the win. Congrats to all the teams because we are all winners when we re having this much fun!! Catta Verdera Women Golfers Happy October! Fall is officially here and that means plenty of fun events to participate and play in October. Here s what s coming this month. If you haven t done so in a while, get out, play golf, and have fun! The annual Stroke Play club championship is scheduled for October 7, 8, and 9th. This is our annual skills and mental challenge where you will play in championship conditions, including perfect fairways, tough rough, and fast, slippery greens. For those wanting the full experience, there will be a gross division that plays on all three days. If you only can play two days (Saturday/Sunday) there will be a net division. More details should be coming out from the shortly. Challenge yourself and have a great time playing with golf girlfriends. It s an annual ritual of fun! Have a question? Contact Debbie Waymire. Ramiro Sena Course Superintendent Superintendent s Update The weather couldn t be better for any outdoor activity this time of the year. These mild climate days and cool nights are the perfect combination for a great golfing day. Also, is the best combination for growing turf without having the extraneous heat and humidity stressing us 24/7. This weather has been perfect for the green s aerification. The surface is recovering very well. I want to thank you and your guests for your tremendous support on all activities we do on the golf course. Summer heat is behind us. We can focus on areas of the golf course that will improve playability. Such as drainage, adding more irrigation and the restoration of a few bunkers. This of course takes time and lots of physical effort by the Turf Care staff as we perform all the projects in house. I want to thank you in advance for your support again. And last for this month is the overseeding. I know, it creates such wet surface on the fairways, but we have to seed with the cool season turf to provide green color for the next six months. Thank you for your ongoing support! ~ Your Golf Course Superintendent and Turf Care Team Calendar at a Glance - Events October 2016 SUN MON TUE WED THU FRI S AT 2 9 10 11 16 17 18 Ladies Nine & Wine 23 24 25 30 31 Halloween Party Coming in November Thursday, November 3rd Friday, November 4th Men s Member/Member 1 Saturday, November 5th Men s Member/Member 2 3 4 5 6 Rombauer 7 8 Tunes Wine Dinner Thursday, November 10th Friday, November 11th Tolosa Wine Dinner Thursday, November 17th Ladies Turkey Shoot 12 13 Tunes 19 20 Tunes Ladies Boo Shoot 14 21 Los Compardes 26 27 28 29 Family The Crush The Crush Dinner Night Kick-Off Couples Party Invitational 15 22 Los Compardes Saturday, November 19th Red Solo Cup Tough Day Thursday, November 24th Thanksgiving Curbside To-Go C l u b S ta f f Jeff Wilson x226 General Manager Ram Sena x215 Golf Course Superintendent Robert Delgado x202 Director of Golf Jim Braden x205 Director of Food & Beverage Keelan Glenn x207 Executive Chef Yanti Jensen x206 Controller Tiffanie Blaylock x221 Merchandise & Ladies Liasion Curtis Landa x213 Membership Director/Tournament Sales P h o n e N u m b e r s house 916.645.7200 Fax 916.645.6729 Membership 916.645.6745 Events 916.645.6722 Quixote s 916.645.6742 Madelena s* 916.645.6721 H o u r s o f O p e r at i o n Administrative Office Tuesday through Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm Golf Shop 6:00 am - 7:00 pm First Tee Time: 7:00 am Range Hours 6:30 am - 7:00 pm Stables Grill 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Quixote s Members Lounge Tuesday 11:00 am - 8:00 pm Wed & Thu 11:00 am - 9:00 pm Fri & Sat 11:00 am - 10:00 pm Sunday 9:00 am - 8:00 pm Where everyone wants to be. 1111 Catta Verdera Lincoln, CA 95648 www.cattaverdera.com
