About the BC Seniors Games Society The BC Seniors Games Society was established in 1987 and the first Games were held in Vernon in 1988 with 15 events and 650 competing participants. Recent Games locations: 2012 Burnaby 2013 Kamloops 2014 Langley The BC Seniors Games is an annual, multi-sport event hosted by a different BC Community each year. This is one of the largest Games organized within BC with approximately 3,500 competing participants and supportive non-participants, aged 55 plus from all over the Province. The economic impact on a Hosting Community is approximately $2,000,000 plus. The BC Seniors Games Society is a volunteer-based, charitable organization and consists of an Executive Committee, 12 Zone Directors, and 12 Zone Committees who are responsible for organizing the administration and registration of all 24+ sports participating in the Seniors Games. We are a membership-driven Society with approximately 4,800 members throughout the Province. We are extremely proud of our achievements and consider our Games to be the best alternate health care program for all BC residents aged 55 plus. Our Society s website is www.bcseniorsgames.org. BC Seniors Games Society Sponsorship Programs The BC Seniors Games Society is funded by: a portion of the BC Government Grant provided to each Host Society a portion of the BC Seniors Games Society membership fees a portion of the participant/non-participant registration fees Corporate level Sponsors and other Sponsors at various levels Our continuing challenge is to have the resources available to meet the growth of the Games, at the Community level and Games level. We are seeking Corporate and other level Sponsors who share our commitment to seniors in providing them the opportunity to participate in activities that keep them physically fit, mentally alert, and socially engaged. We encourage organizations that provide goods and services to seniors communities, to consider our sponsorship program. All Sponsors will be listed on our website Sponsorship page with links to the Sponsors websites. Levels of sponsorship are shown on pages 2 to 4 of this document. If you are interested in becoming a Sponsor or receiving more information, please contact: Michael Prodanovic, Marketing Chair at 604.720.5175 or mipro98@gmail.com; or Sharon Oates, Administrative Assistant, BC Seniors Games Society Email: bcsgs@shaw.ca 1
