This accessory is for safely retaining the 3 spare magazines in the field. Install the magazines from either the left or right, making sure that each magazine is installed in the same direction. The.177 caliber rifles may require shimming of the stock with a small piece of black tape to ensure a snug fit. There is an accessory rail molded into the forend that will accept a weaver style clamp. This can be used for a laser pointer, lamp, bipod, etc. There are two circular flat spots on both sides of the rifle stock in front of the pressure gauge. There is also two flat triangular notches in the butt stock. These points are designed in to accommodate a bipod system made by FX Airguns. 2

Full Length Barrel Shroud Installed by FX or by a factory authorized FX distributor to enhance performance. The end cap is threaded to accept a compensator or barrel weight. NUMBER OF SHOTS FROM A FULL CHARGE:.177.22 28@23 ft/lbs* 28@34ft/lbs* 38@18ft/lbs* 38@24ft/lbs* 50@13ft/lbs* 50@14ft/lbs* *Number represents count taken in a range of usable, consistent shots using extended air cylinder provided with the rifle. General Instructions The FX Super Swift must be fitted with a scope or alternate optic sights before use. Before using your rifle, read and abide by the basic safety rules. The Basic Safety Rules: 1. Treat every rifle as if it is loaded. 2. Never point the rifle at anyone, or allow anyone to point a rifle at you, even if you know it is not loaded. 3. Always carry the rifle so that the direction of the muzzle is under control, even if you stumble. 4. Always be sure of your target and what lies behind it before firing your rifle. 5. Never leave a loaded rifle unattended. 6. Beware of targets that tend to cause ricochets. SAFETY OPERATION Putting the safety lever in the rear position engages the safety. To return the rifle to the firing position, push the safety lever forward. 3

Operating Instructions Filling the Super Swift If rifle is empty, you must first cock the side lever action before attempting to fill. Be sure to apply the safety while rifle is cocked. NOTE If air cylinder is not installed on rifle while attempting to fill, then cocking the rifle is not necessary. Even if the air cylinder is empty. Install probe included with the rifle into the hole in the front of the air cylinder. Proceed to fill either by pump, scuba tank, or compressor until a maximum of 220 BAR has been reached. Bleed filling system, then remove probe from air cylinder. The rifle is now charged and ready for firing. Changing Air Cylinder The Super Swift has been designed with an interchangeable air cylinder. This allows for spare cylinders to be changed in the field for more shots between trips back to camp. To change the air cylinder rotate cylinder tube counter-clockwise until completely unthreaded, then remove from the rifle. Replace air cylinder by turning clockwise until resistance is felt. This is the cylinder valve seating against the rifle valve. Keep turning about 2 ½ turns to fully install cylinder. DO NOT ATTMPT TO REMOVE AIR CYLINDER FROM RIFLE WHILE EMPTY! This can result in seal damage. Cocking the Action To cock the rifle, pull back on the side lever until it cocks the rifle and sets the trigger. This will also rotate the magazine to align the next pellet for firing. The action can be closed by manually pushing the arm forward, or by pulling the cocking lever to its most rearward position and quickly releasing. This will load a pellet into the chamber for firing as well. It is possible to cycle the 4

action very fast without changing your point-of-aim with some practice. This style of action is how the Super Swift received its name. NOTE DO NOT CYCLE THE ACTION MORE THAN ONCE WITH A LOADED MAGAZINE! This will result in a double load into the barrel and may cause jamming of pellets into the barrel. The rifle is ready to discharge with every cocking action. Removing and Installing the Magazine on the Rifle To remove the magazine from the rifle, put the rifle on safe and pull the side lever cocking arm rearward until the action is cocked. Slide the magazine release pin rearward until the pin is back as far as it will go. The magazine will then come out of the breech for loading. NOTE - Pulling back slightly on the cocking arm may allow the magazine to release easier. Install the magazine into the breech by pulling the magazine pin fully rearward. Pull the cocking arm rearward. Install the magazine into the breech with the concave side facing back. Push the magazine release pin securely forward, making sure the pin is traveling through the axis hole in the center of the magazine. Make sure that the magazine is indexed into position by manually turning the magazine and feeling the detent of the rifle engage on the magazine. The cocking arm can now be pushed forward to load a pellet, or you can pull the arm back and released quickly for automatic closing and loading of the action. The rifle is now ready for fire. Loading the Magazine To load the magazine push a pellet into one of the eight holes in the magazine. Load from the concave side of the magazine, pushing pellet until o-ring on the magazine seats fully into the pellet. The skirt of the pellet will be flush with the concave portion of the magazine when properly loaded. Repeat for each of the eight pellets. 5

Care & Maintenance Stock The synthetic stock requires very little care. Wipe down with a silicone gun cloth after use to maintain finish. Keep stock screws tight. Barrel The Lothar-Walther barrel requires occasional cleaning to maintain accuracy. Pulling a patch with cleaner degreaser through the barrel every 500 rounds will help prevent leading. Follow up with a dry patch to remove the residue, then run a patch with oil to prevent rust. Lubricating your pellets with Shooter s Choice FP-10 or Slick 50 One Lube or equivalent will help maintain good bore conditions as well as increase the accuracy of the rifle. Use oil sparingly, a little goes a long way. For best results, lubricate the rifle barrel with the same lube used on pellets. Metalwork Wipe down the action with a silicon gun cloth after use to remove any fingerprints. This will help maintain the fine finish of your rifle. Lubrication The FX Super Swift requires lubrication at the following points. Use a quality gun or reel oil that is synthetic based so as not to harm the seals. Beeman MP-5, Slick 50 One Lube, Shooter s Choice FP-10, or equivalent are fine choices. Lithium based grease is also very good for lubricating the cocking arm and magazine axis pin. Cocking Arm Lubricate both sides of the stainless steel cocking arm with a small amount every 1000 rounds or when cocking action becomes rough. 8

Magazine Retaining Pin Lubricate every 1000 rounds at the point where the pin enters the breech and where the magazine pivots on the pin. Trigger Lubricate pivot pins on trigger for increased smoothness. Lubricate sparingly. Power Adjuster Wheel Lubricate every 1000 shots with light synthetic grease. Spread lubricant by moving the wheel from high to low and back repeatedly until lubricant has been evenly applied. Wipe off excess lube. Safety Lubricate every 5000 rounds to maintain smooth operation. Fill Probe DO NOT LUBRICATE! Replace o-rings if leaking occurs. Magazine O-Rings Lubricate very sparingly. Replace o- rings when magazine fails to rotate properly or pellets do not load smooth into chamber. Air Cylinder The FX Super Swift is a precharged pneumatic rifle. The air cylinder requires NO lubrication. It is best to maintain pressure in the air cylinder at all times. Store rifle with at least a 50 BAR charge to maintain seal integrity. NEVER FIRE RIFLE ON AN EMPTY AIR CYLINDER! Valve damage will result. WARNING! Never attempt to strip this rifle while it is partially or fully charged, except for removal and replacement of the air cylinder. Failure to obey this instruction can result in serious injury and/or damage. If the rifle develops a defect within the warranty period, contact the dealer from whom it was purchased. The guarantee does not cover any damage caused by tampering with the rifle. This rifle should only be disassembled by a factory-authorized repair station. 9
