Hello, Welcome to the Miss Forever P.E.A.R.L. Pageant! We are honored to have you as a part of our P.E.A.R.L. Girl family! P.E.A.R.L. Girls is an organization located in Dallas, Texas. Since 2006, we have been dedicated to providing self-esteem enhancing programs for girls that uplift, educate, and motivate! We aim to build our young ladies of today into confident, empowered women of tomorrow! Our name, P.E.A.R.L, is an acronym for Poised, Elegant And Responsible Leaders! Miss Forever P.E.A.R.L. is a Natural Beauty Pageant for girls ages 3-3 of any race, size, shape, or height. We are not a glitz pageant. We believe that all girls are fearfully and wonderfully- made and encourage girls to celebrate their natural beauty while loving the skin they are in! The mission of Miss Forever P.E.A.R.L. is:. To be a fun, self-esteem enhancing environment for young ladies. 2. To teach and instill positive values, life-skills, and etiquette. 3. To teach girls the importance of giving back to the community. We also offer a complimentary Pre-Pageant Coaching workshop where you can receive instruction on poise, the pageant walk, stance, and everything else that you will need to know as you grace the stage. We consider our pageant more of a Natural Beauty Party rather than a traditional beauty pageant because we truly believe all of our girls are beautiful, and all are winners. Pageant Categories There are (4) mandatory pageant categories included in registration. Each category is associated with specific life-skills which steer girls towards success in life.. Personal Introduction & Ambition Speech Miss Forever P.E.A.R.L. celebrates girls natural beauty and their bright futures. So, we want to hear about what you plan to be when you grow up! The topic of this 30 second or less speech should be Who you are, Your Hometown, and What are your goals and aspirations? We can t wait to hear all about your fabulous self! Attire: The attire for this segment is your Official Miss Forever P.E.A.R.L. Pageant T-shirt and blue jeans. What are the judges looking for? The judges will be looking for confidence, eye contact, poise, grammar, and voice projection. **Contestants ages 3-5 are required to recite their name and age only. However, they can elaborate more if they d like. **Contestants ages 6 and older are required to give the speech Life-skills: How to properly introduce yourself, effective public speaking skills, eye contact, increased social skills 2. P.E.A.R.L. Girl Couture Pearls represent class, elegance, and sophistication. Pearls are also distinctive in that every real pearl formed inside of an oyster is different; none of them are the same. Pearls are unique just like you!! Attire: During this segment of the pageant, we d like to see you rock the stage with your most unique outfit of choice wearing pearls, or incorporating pearls into your attire. You will be given beautiful pearl jewelry upon checking into the pageant, but feel free to add additional pearls to your attire if you d like. We want to see your personality shine! Music will be provided so get ready to strut! A fun, bouncy walk is great for this portion of the pageant; however cart wheels and flips are not allowed. What are the judges looking for? The judges will be looking for creativity in your outfit choice, smiles, cute gestures like waving, hands on hips, thumbs up, attitude/spunk, and overall just having fun on that stage! Life-skills: Personal presentation skills, non-verbal communication skills, increased self-awareness 3. Formal Wear Who doesn t like to dress up? We know you do! For this segment of the pageant we want the spotlight to be on you while you wear your favorite dressy dress. Attire: It can be an elegant Cinderella gown, a flower girl dress, an Easter type of dress, a baby doll dress, or a prom type of dress. Your dress can be new, borrowed, or old it doesn t matter where it came from; it s all about how you wear it on stage with confidence and elegance! We will provide the music for this portion of the pageant; you provide the confidence! What are the judges looking for? The judges will be looking for an elegant walk for this segment of the pageant. They will also be looking for eye contact, poise, stage presence, smiles, and grace. Life-skills: Walking with proper posture, presenting yourself with confidence and grace, increased self-control and self-worth 4. Community Dedication One of the goals of Miss Forever P.E.A.R.L. is to teach girls the importance of giving back to the community. During this portion of the pageant, each girl is asked to bring a new unwrapped toy, stuffed animal, or book for a girl ages 3-5. These items will be donated to girls at local family shelters. What are the judges looking for? Each contestant will be awarded 0 points by turning in their new unwrapped toy, stuffed animal, or book at the pageant check-in table. The item does not have to be expensive; the focus is more on helping others who may be less fortunate than the cost of the item. Life-skills: Humbleness, a spirit of generosity, compassion, and concern for others *The scoring system is (-0). Scores for these categories count towards the contestant s overall pageant score. *Please remember that confidence, a beautiful smile, eye contact and personality projection are the most important things that the judges will be looking for, not the contestant with the most expensive attire. Optional Categories The optional categories are scored separately and do not affect the score from the Mandatory Categories per Age Division. Contestants can receive additional awards and prizes by participating in the Optional Categories. Optional Categories = More chances to win more prizes! Oh Yeah! Ultimate P.E.A.R.L. Supreme Award Want a chance to win a $CASH PRIZE$ and the Ultimate Crown? Participate in the optional Talent Competition for a chance to be crowned Miss Ultimate P.E.A.R.L. Supreme Talent Competition Do you sing, dance, cheer, recite poetry, know karate, or have a special talent? We want to see your skills! This is your time to shine! o o Time limit: 2 minutes or less. You provide your own music. Props are allowed, but must be easily removed on and off stage. What are the judges looking for? The judges are looking for presentation, performance, self-assurance, and execution. *Scores for this category contribute to the overall pageant score for the chance to be crowned Miss Ultimate P.E.A.R.L. Supreme! Natural s Next Top Model Wear your favorite Outfit of Choice and rock the runway! Anything Goes! Show us your best fun and fierce Model Walk in this segment of the pageant! You go girl! o Time limit: 2 minutes or less. You provide your own music. Props are allowed, but must be easily removed on and off stage. Naturally Photogenic You are naturally beautiful just the way that you are. This event is your time to show off a fabulous photo of yourself! The picture that you submit can be a professional picture or a personal picture from a camera. o Glamour and Glitz photos are not allowed. The photo should be 5X7 or greater in size and should be turned in at the registration table before the pageant begins in a clear plastic cover. o Judging will take place prior to the start of the pageant in the judges room. Mother & Daughter Divas Are you a great Mom & Daughter team? We know you are!! Come show us what you got! Model, Dance, Perform a speech together anything goes! o Time limit: 2 minutes or less. You provide your own music. Props are allowed, but must be easily removed on and off stage. *The scoring system is (-0). Scores for these optional categories are separate and will NOT count towards the contestant s overall score. **Please see the Rules & Regulations for details regarding props, makeup, attire, etc. ***Music for optional categories cannot contain offensive language. Music with offensive language is an automatic disqualifier. Please be sure to bring (2) copies of your music to the pageant on a CD (one copy is for back-up). Make sure that the CDs are labeled with your name and age division.
Rules and Regulations The only make-up that is allowed in the pageant is lip gloss, facial powder to control shine, light blush, and light mascara. No fake anything (wigs, hair extensions, tans, flippers, fake eye lashes, fingernails, etc.) Swimwear is not allowed in any segment of the pageant. Contestants must compete at the age they are on the day of the pageant. P.E.A.R.L. Girls reserves the right to split or combine age. A dressing area will be provided. Each contestant is allowed one person to accompany her in the dressing room. Bubbles, water, fire stunts, and sharp objects are not allowed in any segment of the pageant. Bad sportsmanship of any kind will not be tolerated. Please cheer everyone on. P.E.A.R.L. Girls reserves the right to disqualify any contestant due to bad sportsmanship which includes parental and guest activity. Please alert your guest of this rule. Line-up in each age division will be determined by the date your entry form and payment are received. First entry form received will be last contestant in line-up or your choice. Participants must be unaccompanied on stage. Parents cannot escort their child, unless it is the Mother & Daughter Diva category. All Contestants will be notified of a complete schedule of events including the dates and times of the Etiquette & Self-esteem Workshop and Pre-Pageant Coaching workshop prior to the pageant No glitz or glamour photos can be submitted during the Naturally Photogenic Competition. Photos can be Black and White or color, and should be at least 5X7 in size. P.E.A.R.L. Girls reserves the right to cancel if participation numbers are low. In the case of a cancellation, you will be fully reimbursed within 30 days. All fees are otherwise non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances. Any videos or photographs taken during or after the pageant may be used by P.E.A.R.L. Girls for advertising and publicity purposes not limited to brochures, flyers, web advertisements, and other marketing materials. A formal dress should be worn at crowning and all participants are required to take photos on stage at the conclusion of pageant. The scoring system is -0 in each category. All judges decisions are final and ties will be broken by the judges. Judges information will not be given out prior to the pageant in order to prevent contestants from contacting them before the pageant. If you want your score sheets after the pageant, please be sure to bring a stamped self-addressed envelope to the pageant. Score sheets are held for three weeks after the pageant and are discarded thereafter. Score sheets are not given out at the end of the pageant; they will be mailed in your envelope. Cash Prizes are dependent upon sponsorships, ad page contributions, and the number of contestants. Names of contestants and/or how many contestants are in the pageant will not be given out. This information can change daily and we do not want to publish any potentially misleading information. Admission to the pageant will be $5.00 per person with children ages 2 and under entering free. Contestants will be given () free wristband for a parent s admission. The Registration Deposit reserves your spot in the pageant. However, all contestants are asked to fundraise at least $00 in Fundraising dues by October st in order to participate. Fundraising dues help defray the cost of producing the pageant (i.e. prizes, awards, trophies, facility rental, staging, lighting, judge s expenses, etc.) If you wish not to participate in fundraising, you may still reserve your spot in the pageant, and then pay your $00 Fundraising dues by October st. P.E.A.R.L. Girls reserves the right to disqualify any contestant due to unpaid fees or fundraising dues. P.E.A.R.L. Girls, including the vendors, the volunteers & staff are hereby non-liable for any injury, loss of personal property, or theft occurring during or after the Pageant.
