(f) (g) All members are invited to: - Put themselves forward for places on the club committee - Suggest changes to the clubs Rules & Constitution (available on the club website) Nominations and proposed changes must be submitted to the Club Secretary at least 14 days prior to the AGM. Club Newsletter JMH reported that Issue 2 of Teamwork had been emailed out to all club members in w/c 27 th March 2017, publicising the Presentation Evening and the AGM amongst other things. A copy is also available on the club website. A few paper copies have been made available for circulation at training for those without access to email or the internet. BFCitC Need to be clear that Burnley FC Girls & Ladies and Burnley FC in the Community are both represented on the Club Committee and effectively operate as a single entity. MB acknowledged that BFCitC were still learning as they go, but are listening (e.g. stripping back lesson plans, holding regular managers meetings etc.) Aim is NOT to turn BFCG&L into a Regional Training Centre (RTC), but to offer excellence in grassroots football. Should Burnley FC bid for an RTC in due course it will sit alongside the current female football operations. 6. Presentation Evening Confirmed date is Friday 12 th May 2017 in the James Hargreaves Suite at Turf Moor. Room has been booked from 6:30pm with proceedings to get underway at around 7:00pm. Compere will be MP as usual DJ booked. MB has ordered trophies and suppliers have confirmed they have arrived. Decision taken to order 150 medals at a cost of 192.00 for players up to and including the U16s (allowance for approximately 10 spares). MB has secured items for auction signed home shirt, signed programme and signed ball JD/JL still organising raffle prizes Special Guest no chance of a first team player or Sean Dyche as the team is playing away at Bournemouth the following day. Other options are being explored, including a high profile female player. MB to book Bertie Bee for the younger players. JMH reported that JD was still awaiting articles for the programme from managers and members of the committee. JMH reported that only 100 copies to be printed (as only 76 of the 150 printed last season were sold). A further print run will 4

be made if additional copies are requested. JH to be supplied with pdf for print no later than 3 days in advance of the event. 7. Open Age Player Pathway An extensive discussion took place about the options available. Key points of note include: With the exception of two players, all current U16s players are eligible to play Open Age football by the end of October. On Thursday 6 th April a meeting took place with U16s parents to consider the options and make recommendations regarding a new player pathway, with the intention of bringing younger players through in a better way than has happened in the past. Youth Team Manager SW had reported in a text that he expected only half his team to return next season as many were leaving for university over the summer. SW has advised the club that he will be stepping down as a manager. The Committee understood his reasons, but were sorry to see him go after so long with the club and hoped he would agree to help with the start-up of the new open age player pathway if necessary. Some SDS players are expected to join former manager Marv Heys in a new team at Burnley Belvedere. MB advised that he hoped the First Team would operate with a squad of 18-20 players next season. Following extensive discussion the best and most sustainable option was considered to be for the club to operate a First Team plus two (open age) reserve teams. The reserve teams would play in the Lancashire County League and possibly the North Manchester League. Unfortunately two U16s players who were playing up a year in 206/17, will be unable to play open age until 2018 and will be offered the opportunity to play with the new U16s team for the 2017/18 Season. MB/MS to circulate a questionnaire to U16s parents following recent meeting and discussion at Committee seeking their views on the best way forward. 8. Safeguarding JB confirmed that all teams must have one qualified coach with up to date FA First Aid and FA Safeguarding certifications. Parent Assistants need only have an Enhanced CRB Check, but cannot be in charge of matches or training without the qualified coach present. JB/MB to organise an FA Respect event to be held at the Prairie either on training nights (Monday and Wednesday) or in two sessions on the registration evening. 8. Any Other Business None MS to explore possibility of placing one of the two reserve teams in the North Manchester League JB/MB to organise with Neil Yates @ LFA 5
