Top Manager Responsibilities Follow Double-Goal Coach Job Description Adhere to LL, District, and Local Rules Adhere to KNLL Safety Plan (ASAP) and report all injuries to the Safety Officer Communicate clearly to parents and players Secure umpire and scorekeeper volunteers Return all equipment at the end of the season on time and in good condition

Review Process VP s provide applicant list to committee for early January Manager and Coach Committee consists of Division Directors Committee reviews applicants based on: Experience Parent, Manager, and Coach feedback Service record from previous year Phone interview with new candidates Committee presents recommended slate to President President reviews slate Asks committee to make adjustments Sends to the KNLL Board for approval
Approval and Selection Board approves final slate of Managers and Coaches during a closed session- February Board Meeting Registration closes and team numbers are projected Division Director selects Managers from the list of Board approved Managers Managers are notified of selection Remaining Managers and Coaches are notified that they are approved for coaching positions
Why did I not get a team? We did not receive your application More Managers than teams Not approved as a Manager through Board approval process
Additional Points of Note Either truly means Manager or Coach Upper Divisions: Managers cannot select Coaches before draft or team formations Coaches cannot request to coach for a certain Manager Lower Divisions- Manager/Coach combinations will be considered Any additional coaches must pass a background check and be approved by Board
TEAM FORMATION
KNLL Fosters Community To foster community among Players, Parents, and Volunteers, KNLL Forms teams with a blank slate each year Assigns Managers with a blank slate each year Creates team names each year
Team Formation By Division T-Ball, A, AA (BB), AAA (SB) Form teams by school Facilitate friend requests Facilitate sibling requests Team sizes support development and reps AAA (BB), Coast (SB), Majors, Juniors Form teams for parity (evaluations and draft) Manager/child stay together Facilitate sibling requests Team sizes conform to LL operation rules
Baseball Draft All AAA/Majors players must attend one evaluation Players are evaluated in 6 areas; hitting, infield, fly-balls, pitching, catcher and running. Players are ranked based on scores at evaluations Players are placed on teams based on a computer program that uses a Serpentine Draft Managers work together to balance teams
Softball Draft Coast, Majors, Juniors, must attend one evaluation Players are evaluated in 7 areas; hitting, infield, fly-balls, throwing, pitching, catcher and running. Players are ranked based on scores at evaluations Coast, Majors, and Juniors may require a draft pending the number of teams in KNLL and between KALL and KNLL Managers work together to balance teams

Baseball All-Stars May 1 st, Manager and Coach commitment forms sent out to eligible coaches Assigned within Bonzi as manager or one of two coaches for a team Worked in their team s dugout at least 60% of games In good standing with KNLL Mid May; All-Star information meeting Last week of May; selection meetings start
Softball All-Stars May 1 st - Online Availability and Interest form goes live for Players and Coaches May 10 th - A&I Form closes May 11 th - Coaches evaluate players online May 13 th - Team viability is determined May 15 th - KALL and KNLL select managers May 30 th - Player and Coach selection meeting
