Every year the PE leaders evaluate PE and devise an action plan as to what needs to be achieved throughout the year to ensure the delivery of PE progresses. These are some of the action plan points. We have a specialist company come into school on a weekly basis to support and improve our teaching of P.E. 1 member of staff from each year group will have 1 term of support from the coach. At Sneyd Green, we have 10 rowing machines. We timetable that year 4, 5 and 6 all have a term s worth of sessions using the rowing machines in their P.e slot. We also have a weekly fun rowing club, and our rowing team practise once a week The benefits of using the rowing machines are - Improves self esteem Improves fitness Reduces obesity They can be used cross curricular

Some of our year 6 children represented our school in a Laser Tag competition. This is a new event, the children had never experienced it before, and they were brilliant. Our boys team won all their games and have a place in the finals, and our girls team came 3rd.

At the end of every term, every class in each year group competes against each other in a sporting event to find a year group winner. This ensures that all children partake in competitive sport at least 3 times a year and is also a lot of fun! As well as competing against themselves and the other children in the school, the Sports Stars are also competing against other children in local schools (the collegiate). The Plank Our Sports Stars are a group of children who have shown an extra exciting level of potential! Our Sports leaders work together with Mr Husnu from Premier Sports to provide a range of sports games on the play ground for other children to access. We have a sports committee who help us organise P.E at Sneyd Green. These children meet on a regular basis to discuss Sporting activity such as: what clubs they would like, what new P.E resources they would like, P.E wow days and their thoughts on P.E.
