Place: Bert s Restaurant Date: January 16 2018 Time: 6:00 p.m. REPORTER S NEWS January 16, 2018 Number Present: Members: 11, Parents: 10, Visitors: 2 Total Attendance: 23 Minutes The January meeting was called to order at 6:00 by Gabby Wise. Gabby Wise also led the pledges. Emily Gardiner read the minutes that were approved by Sydney Wise. Faith Thomas read the Treasurer s report. We introduced our guests: Wyatt and Nathan, who are joining our club. Kayla and Faith Thomas and Gabby Wise passed level five of Diamond Clover and went to a banquet. Gabby s cow is going to have a baby. The leader s meeting was canceled so we did not get the report. Old Business: For old business we started by announcing that our picture was in the paper for our Toys for Tots donation. No one went to the officer training. Then we talked about beef weigh in. Wyatt Mast, Gabby Wise, Sydney Wise, Nathan Raley, Kayla Thomas, and Faith Thomas all went. We got an update of Horse Power Hour from Emily Gardiner and an update on the livestock series from Nathan Raley, Sydney Wise, and Wyatt Mast. New Business: New business began with placing a time, date and place for our club achievement. We decided on Ledo s on the 25 th of February at 1 o clock. We choose our friend of 4-H next. Then we decided to complete our new level applications for diamond clover at our next meeting. We then we reminded everyone to re-roll. We ended with a reminder to bring coats for the coat drive to the next meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 6:42 by Gabby Wise. Our next meeting will be at the Wise s residence on February 13 at 6:00. Dani Crawford volunteered to bring snacks.

Place: The Wises Residence Date: February 13, 2018 Time: 6:00 p.m. REPORTER S NEWS February 13, 2018 Number Present: Members: 9, Parents: 8, Visitors: 0, Total Attendance: 17 Minutes: The February meeting was called to order at 6:13 by Gabby Wise who also led the pledges. Emily Gardiner read the minutes that were approved by Sydney Wise and Faith Thomas. Faith Thomas read the Treasurer s report. Our announcements began with Nathan Raley announcing he now has two lambs. Next Gabby Wise announced that her cow had its baby. Brooke Buckler is joining the club. Our leader Miss Terry gave the leader s meeting report. Diamond clover forms, the county achievement banquet, record books, an upcoming parasites presentation, public speaking contest, and the new camps were discussed. Old Business: Old business began by getting the number of people for the Ledo s gathering on February 25 th at 1:00. Then we talked about the county banquet on March 17 th at 5:00. Next we finished the diamond clover forms. Then we discussed about re-enrollment again. Almost everyone is enrolled. Finally, we got the report from the horse power hours from Sydney Wise and Emily Gardiner and the report from livestock knowledge series from Nathan Raley and Sydney Wise. The livestock skillathon is on Monday, February 19 th. New Business: For new business we began discussing the idea of taking a tour of Heritage Chocolates in Leonardtown. We are also thinking about raising butterflies as a group project. We ended with taking a picture for the newspaper of the coat drive for the Enterprise. The meeting was adjourned at 6:34 by Gabby Wise. Our next meeting will be at the Wise s residence on March 13 at 6:00. The Thomas volunteered to bring snacks. Sydney Wise demonstrated a craft of making bird food shapes.

Place: The Wises Residence Date: March 13, 2018 Time: 6:00 p.m. REPORTER S NEWS March 13, 2018 Number Present: Members: 11, Parents: 6, Visitors: 1, Total Attendance: 18 Minutes: The March meeting was called to order at 6:32 by Gabby Wise. Gabby also led the pledges. Emily Gardiner read the minutes that were approved by Dani Crawford and Kayla Thomas. Dani Crawford read the Treasurer s report. We introduced Christine Allred from the 4-H office. Announcements began with Dani Crawford announcing that she has 7 baby goats and 1 st place in her DI competition. Nathan Raley now has 6 new lambs. Brooke Buckler has one new baby goat. Kayla Thomas s heifer is due next month. Wyatt Mast has baby goats. Gabby and Sydney Wise have new heifers. Gabby Wise has 2 baby goats, 2 lambs, and another sheep due by the end of the week. We have a thank you letter to Southern States that everyone needs to sign. Cindy Wise went to the leader s meeting. Christine Allred talked to us about becoming a volunteer or attending the summer camps Old Business: Old business started with getting the report from the club gathering at Ledo s. Everyone had fun. Next we talked about the county banquet. Everyone who needed to, has RSVPed for the banquet. We got the report from the livestock skillathon and the horse bowl competitions. Sydney Wise got 1 st place for intermediates and Nathan Raley won 5 th place for juniors. Emily Gardiner went to the Horse Bowl Competition and won 11 th place individually while the senior team won 6 th place. We are planning on doing a tour of Heritage Chocolates and raising butterflies. New Business: New business began with talking about the public speaking contest. Then we set a date for the Easter basket making for Angel s Watch Homeless shelter. It will be on March 21 st at the Wises residence at 6:30. We will do our horticulture workshop at the April meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 7:06 by Gabby Wise. The Thomas brought snacks. We also took another picture for the coat drive. Our next meeting will be at the Wises residence on April 10 at 6:30. Emily Gardiner volunteered to bring snacks. Gabby Wise did a demonstration with her sheep by cutting a stitch and administering an antibiotic.

Emily Gardiner read the minutes that were approved by Faith Thomas and Wyatt Mast. Dani Crawford read the treasurer s report. Our announcements began with our picture for the coat drive and Easter baskets were in the paper. We also got a thank you letter from our friend of 4-H. Wyatt has 2 pigs that had 7 piglets. Dani Crawford tied for 4th at her DI competition. Brooke Buckler was in her school s play, The Lion King. Wyatt Mast also won reserve champion, 2-3rds, and 1-4th at the Mounted Wanderers Horse show series banquet. Miss Terry gave the report from the leader s meeting that talked about an aerospace workshop, archery team, sheep and goat skillathon, and an interest in volunteers for Sacred Heart Church clinic. Old business was Emily Gardiner giving the report from the horse power hours and the livestock skillathon sheep and goat practice and contest were discussed. New business began with talking about the quality assurance that must be done by July 31st if you are leveling up. Market animal weigh in is on the 20 th of May. Wyatt Mast, Brooke Buckler, and Kayla Thomas are planning on going. Spring show is on June 2-3 and Wyatt Mast, Brooke Buckler, and Sydney Wise are planning on going. The meeting was adjourned at 6:55. Our next meeting with be on May 8th at 6:30 at the Wise s residence. Brooke will bring snacks. After the meeting we held our club horticulture workshop. Gabby Wise demonstrated how to identify and pot the plants that were donated by Wentworth Nursery.

Emily Gardiner read the minutes that were approved by Sydney Wise and Dani Crawford. Dani Crawford read the treasurer s report. Announcements: Gabby Wise got a puppy. Brooke Buckler bought a goat. Sydney Wise got champion in 2 6 jumpers at BEST. We also got a thank you letter from Helping Hands for the Easter baskets. Miss Terry gave the report from the leader s meeting which talked about the summer camp, aerospace, and archery. Old business began with Sydney Wise giving the report from the skillathon at the sheep and wool festival. Market weigh in is at 3 on May 20th. Spring show is June 2 and 3 and Wyatt Mast, Brooke Buckler, Sydney Wise, Nathan Raley, and Gabby Wise are planning on attending. New business: For the SMILE Show, volunteers are needed to help with the food booth. We discussed the booth for the fair. We also decided that as a trip for the club this summer, we could go to an aquarium. We also talked about the butterfly project that we got. The meeting was adjourned at 7:16. Brooke Buckler brought snacks and Dani Crawford did a craft. Our next meeting with be on June 12th at 6:30 at the Wise s residence. The Graves girls will bring snacks and do a craft demonstration.
