DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIPS MONDAY 14 th AUGUST WEDNESDAY 16 th AUGUST 2017 CONDITIONS OF PLAY The Match Committee shall make all arrangements and shall have full power to alter or make any variations to the conditions or program should it deem it desirable, and reserves the right to change the handicap limit for events on any program if any entry exceeds that which can be accommodated on the course, or in the case of insufficient entries, to cancel the event. The Rules of Golf and the local rules of the venue club shall be the rules of play during the Championships. Any disputes must be submitted to the Tournament Director in writing within 30 minutes of the close of play each day. Players must have a GA Handicap and provide evidence of this on request. All closed events are only open to players whose home club is affiliated with D&SWDLGA Inc. Handicap limits: Silver 0 to 18 Bronze I - 19 to 29 Bronze II 30 to 45. A player s current handicap at the beginning of 1 st round will apply to the 36 hole championship. Any tie in Championship Gross Events 1 2 3 4 and 5 will be decided by a playoff on holes to be decided by the Match Committee, at a time set down by the Match Committee. A marker will be appointed. Ties in other events will be decided by the count back system per GA. Motorised transport is permitted in all events. Practice on the course is not allowed between rounds. School girls must produce a letter from their School Principal when nominating. Veterans registration cards must be presented on request. Veterans are eligible to nominate in other events. Competitors are requested to report to the starter at least 20 minutes before the appointed time given in the draw. Dress regulations of the host club must be adhered to. Late entries will be accepted at the discretion of the D&SWDLGA Match Committee. A competitor must not knowingly make use of any drug to enhance her performance. A competitor infringing this condition may be disqualified. Mobile phones: The audible emission or unauthorized use of a mobile telephone on a golf course or during play is a serious breach of etiquette and will attract a warning and possible disqualification (Rule 33-7). D&SWDLGA accepts no liability or responsibility for loss, theft or damage to participant s equipment. Measuring devices are permitted in all events. Thunder/Lightening Alert: A horn blast warning mark ball ASAP and proceed to clubhouse immediately. 4
