Ties not involving first place will be broken by the fastest time. Orders will be drawn per USEF JP112. Time allowed to be based on a minimum speed of 382 yards per minute for all jumper divisions. To be shown over a hunter or jumper course of 3 fences with 2 tests included in the course. Points awarded 7-5-4-3-2-1. If only 4 finish, points will be awarded 5-3-2-1 and if only 3 finish the points will be 4-2-1. No points if fewer than 3 riders complete the course. If 15 or more riders complete the4 course points wil be 10-8-7-6-5-4-3-2. 5 points qualifies for the finals in October. The Horse & Hound Medal will be presented to the winner of a qualifying class with 5 or more entries. Previous winners of the Horse & Hound Jr/Amateur Medal Finals are no longer eligible to compete. Almaden Farms Jr/Am (2 9) 724 $50 To be shown over a minimum of 8 fences 2 9 in height, with two changes of lead after the first fence, and one combination which must include an oxer. Two or more tests will be incorporated in the original course. No work-off is required. Five contestants must complete the course. Points awarded 10, 6, 4, 2, 1, 1/2.

HUNTER SEAT MEDALS WITH 2018 FINALS HOSTED AT SHP CPHA HORSEMANSHIP MEDAL 2'6 725 $50 CPHA Horsemanship Medal Finals hosted at HMI Equestrian Classic I, July 25-29, 2018 This class is open to child and adult riders who in the past 10 years have never WON any medal, equitation, hunter or jumper class with fences 3' or higher. In addition any rider who has competed in any classes within the last 10 years with fences set at 3'3 is not eligible to compete in ths class. Riders must maintain their eligibility until after the finals. Trainers and riders must be members of the CPHA prior to riding in this class. The class will be held over a 2'6 course with a minimum of eight fences, no combinations and at least two changes in direction. One test of either a halt or trot fence must be included in the course. At least three riders must complete the course. Three (3) points qualifies for the finals. Points for 5 or more riders: 6-4-3-2-1. Points for 4 riders: 4-3-2-1. Points for 3 riders: 3-2-1. CPHA CHILD/ADULT MEDAL 3' 726 $50 CPHA Child/Adult Medal Finals hosted at HMI Equestrian Classic I, July 25-29, 2018 This class is open to child and adult riders who in the past 10 years have never WON any medal, equitation, hunter or jumper class with fences 3'3 or higher. In addition any rider who has competed in any classes within the last 10 years with fences set at 3'6 is not eligible to compete in ths class. Riders must maintain their eligibility until after the finals. Trainers and riders must be members of the CPHA prior to riding in this class. The class will be held over a 3' course with a minimum of eight fences with at least two changes in direction and a combination. At least two riders shall work off using USEF tests 1-8. At least three riders must complete the course. Three (3) points qualifies for the finals. Any class with 30 or more riders, the class must be split (California Split) with two sets of awards and two sets of ribbons to be distributed. Points for 5 or more riders: 6-4-3-2-1. Points for 4 riders: 4-3-2-1. Points for 3 riders: 3-2-1. Finals hosted at HMI Equestrian Classic I (July 25-29, 2018). Hudson & Company Medal Jr/Am (3 3) 727 $50 Hudson & Company Medal Finals hosted at Strides & Tides, September 12-16, 2018 To be shown over a course of hunter and jumper type fences approximately 3'3 in height with flat work incorporated into the course. No work off is required; but further testing is at the judge's discretion. (USEF tests 1-18) Points awarded to top eight riders; 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Riders will receive double points in classes with 15 or more riders. Six points required to qualify a rider for the Medal Finals. Winner may continue to compete throughout the year. Five riders must complete the course. Finals winner to receive a CWD Saddle. The Pickwick Medal Jr/Am (3 3) 728 $50 Pickwick Medal Finals hosted at SHP Season Finale, September 19-23, 2018 To be shown over a jumper course of not less than eight fences approx. 3 3 in height. To be judged on hands, seat, guidance & control of the horse. Jumper-type horses are encouraged, and jumper equipment is allowed. A time allowed will be based on a speed of 360 yards per minute. The judge will give a numerical score for each competitor's round. The announcer wil announce the judge's numerical score and then deduct time faults as follows: one point for each commenced second over the time allowed. 3 refusals. There will be no work-off. Four contestants are required for the class to count. Points awarded to top eight riders; 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Riders will receive double points in classes with 15 or more riders.
