1. ANNOUNCEMENT: The HEAVEN VMX Inc., hereafter called the PROMOTER will conduct a race meeting for Classic, Post Classic and current MX machines to be known as the Jim Pearson Transport VMX & Vets State of Origin 2018 at the Hastings Valley Motorcycle Raceway, on 29 th and 30 th September 2018. 2. JURISDICTION: 2.1. The above-mentioned INTERCLUB meeting has been authorised by Motorcycling NSW Limited who issues the Motorcycling Australia (MA) Permit covering the meeting and is open to members of HEAVEN VMX Inc., QVMX, BMCC, Viper MX, VCM and Hastings Valley MC Clubs who hold current Motorcycling Australia National Competition Licences. 2.2. One Event Competition Licences (OEL) will be available from the promoters at the meeting. The licences should be ordered during the event entry process to ensure availability and assist the Promoter. Riders can purchase OEL directly from MA via ridernet or via entry form. 2.3. The meeting will be held in accordance with the current General Competition Rules (GCR s), these Supplementary Regulations, the By-Laws of Motorcycling NSW and any final instructions. Your attention is drawn to the classes offered as they differ to those listed in the GCR s Classic MX & DT section as set out in these regulations. BY ENTERING THIS MEETING ALL PARTIES AGREE TO COMPLY WITH THESE RULES, REGULATIONS, BY-LAWS AND INSTRUCTIONS. 3. ENTRIES: 3.1 Entries open Friday 17th August and close Midnight Friday 21 st September 2018. Online entries are the preferred method. 3.2 In the case of postponement or abandonment of the meeting, all or any part of the entry fee may be retained by the promoter, if such retention is approved by Motorcycling NSW. 3.3 Only entries received on the official entry form or via the online entry form available at http://www.heavenvmx.com.au and accompanied by the correct entry fees will be accepted. 3.4 Each rider must fill out a separate entry form regardless of age. 3.5 NOTE: LATE ENTRIES MAY BE ACCEPTED OR REJECTED AT THE DISCRETION OF THE PROMOTER OR RACE SECRETARY, AFTER CONSULTATION WITH THE RACE COMMITTEE OR CLUB EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE, AND THE RETURN OF ENTRY FEES FOR ANY RIDER WITHDRAWING FROM THE MEETING IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE PROMOTER. 3.6 A late fee of $20 is payable for all entries submitted after closing date. 4. INSURANCE: 4.1 National Capital Benefits Scheme provides basic cover for death and permanent disability. 4.2 Personal Accident and Ambulance Insurance is the responsibility of the individual. 4.3 IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT COMPETITORS GIVE DUE CONSIDERATION TO TAKING OUT SUCH INSURANCE COVER. 5. MEDICAL SERVICES: 5.1. Coast Care First Aid will provide full medical services during the event. 6. ENTRY FEE: 6.1 Senior one bike $100; Aged Pension one bike $70; Juniors $50. Each additional bike $20. There is an additional charge of $30 for each entrant for associated transponder hiring costs. Additional transponders are available to hire at a cost of $20 each. 6.2 If entrants have their own transponder which is 100% compatible with the MyLaps system, please supply the transponder number on the entry form. In this case the $30 charge is replaced by a fee of $10 which covers timing and system operating costs. 6.3 Payment to be made by PAYPAL, Credit Card, EFT or Money Order only. Cheques will not be accepted. ANY FEES FOR DISHONOURED PAYMENTS WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE ENTRANT. 6.4 Money orders are to be made payable to HEAVEN VMX Inc.. 6.5 EFT Payments to: Heaven VMX BSB: 082135 Acc: 576796849. Please include Surname and race number in transfer description for identification. 6.6 Final acceptance and race number allocations will be confirmed by email. 6.7 Please include a correct email address on each entry form for confirmation of entry and any final instructions. 8. CLASSES OF COMPETITION: 8.1. Classic and Post Classic classes a) Pre75 All Powers Scored for individual results and also scored as a State of Origin team class. b) Pre78 All Powers (Note: Pre75 bikes are also permitted to enter this class as a second class) Scored for individual results and also scored as a State of Origin team class. c) EVO All Powers Scored for individual results and also scored as a State of Origin team class. d) Pre85 All Powers - Scored for individual results and also scored as a State of Origin team class. e) Pre90 All Powers - Scored for individual results and also scored as a State of Origin team class. f) Pre95 All Powers - Scored for individual results and also scored as a State of Origin team class. g) Classic 125cc (Pre75, Pre78 and EVO) - Scored for individual results and also scored as a State of Origin team class. h) Post Classic 125cc (Pre85, Pre90 and Pre95) - Scored for individual results and also scored as a State of Origin team class. i) Classic 4 Stroke All Powers (Pre75, Pre78 and EVO). Scored for individual results and also scored as a State of Origin team class. j) Post Classic 4 Stroke All Powers (Pre85, Pre90 and Pre95). Scored for individual results and also scored as a State of Origin team class. 8.2. Open Classes (rider age as at 29Sep18) k) Open Class All Powers open to all riders <35yo and open to >35yo Veteran riders of modern (1995-2019) machines as an additional class. Scored for individual results and also scored as a State of Origin team class. l) Veterans >35yo All Powers open to all riders >35yo. Riders can enter Classic, Post Classic or modern (1995-2019) machines. Scored for individual results and also scored as a State of Origin team class. m) Veterans >45yo All Powers - open to all riders >45yo. Riders can enter Classic, Post Classic or modern (1995-2019) machines. Scored for individual results and also scored as a State of Origin team class. n) Veterans >55yo All Powers - open to all riders >55yo. Riders can enter Classic, Post Classic or modern (1995-2019) machines. Scored for individual results and also scored as a State of Origin team class. o) Women s The Women s class is open to Classic, Post Classic or modern machines. If sufficient entries are received, the class will be split into Classic and Moderns run concurrently and scored separately. Scored for individual results and also scored as a State of Origin team class. 8.3. Juniors a) 9-12yo 65cc moderns (current) or up to 85cc Classic/Post Classic machines (up to Pre95). Scored for individual results. b) 12-16yo Up to 85cc 2st or 150cc 4st moderns (current) or up to 125cc Classic/Post Classic machines (up to Pre95). Scored for individual results. 9. AWARDS AND PRIZEMONEY: 9.1. No prizemoney will be offered. 9.2. Each class will be awarded trophies for 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd places. If there are two groups within the one class then both groups will be awarded trophies. 9.3. All Classic, Post Classic, Ladies and Veterans classes will be concurrently scored separately towards the overall team State of Origin event. 9.4. Overall State of Origin winner the state with the most winning class teams will be named the overall State of Origin winning state. The classes that count towards the overall winning score are at the discretion of the promoter after consultation with attending club delegates. 10. ENTRIES TO CONSTITUTE A CLASS: 10.1 A minimum of 15 contestants are required for a class to have a separate race. If less than 15 entrants, the decision to have a separate race or combine classes is solely at the discretion of the Promoter. If classes are combined then the format of any combined races is solely at the discretion of the Promoter. Classes in combined races will be separately scored. 10.2 To constitute a class, the number of contestants entered and competing in each class shall be six (6) for Women s and Juniors. The minimum for all other classes is 10 contestants. 10.3 Should there be insufficient entries in any class of competition, the decision to run or cancel the class, or to combine events and re-distribute any awards and/or prizes, will be solely at the discretion of the promoter. 11. RACE FORMAT: 11.1 Each class will complete 3 races and each race will be 4 laps in duration. Juniors will be 3 lap races with at least 5 races throughout the program. 11.2 Scoring will be as per GCR s for individual results. i.e. 25 points for 1 st, 22 points for 2 nd, 20 points for 3 rd, 18 points for 4 th, 16 points for 5 th, 15 points for 6 th etc. to be accumulated over the 3 races. 11.3 Scoring for the State of Origin team results will utilise the MX des Nations scoring system. i.e. 1 point for 1 st, 2 points for 2 nd, 3 points for 3 rd etc. for all finishers of each race. Any DNF rider will receive the same points as the last place finisher +1. 11.4 Results will remain Provisional until ratified and confirmed by the Steward.

12. MACHINES AND RIDERS: 12.1 State Eligibility is strictly determined by being that of the entrants primary residential address. The only exception to this rule is where an entrant may live within reasonable vicinity of a State border and regularly compete in the adjacent state. All entrant eligibility is at the discretion of the promoter. 12.2 All machines entered must comply with the current GCR s for Classic MX or MX competition in the case of modern machines. 12.3 All motorcycles must have passed scrutineering, including eligibility checks if applicable prior to entering the track. 12.4 Multiple entry of the one machine in the same class of competition is not permitted. 12.5 Change of machine during the meeting is permitted. Riders must seek permission from the Clerk of Course in writing no less than 10 minutes prior to the event the machine change effects. The replacement machine must be eligible for the class and transponder changes are the sole responsibility of the entrant. 12.6 Noise and/or Fuel testing may be carried out at any time during this meeting. 12.7 Properly secured helmets must be worn by any persons operating a motorcycle on or off the track. 12.8 A cross bar pad or centre bar clamp pad must be fitted to all motorcycles. 12.9 Riders must wear all safety equipment that satisfies the GCR s, and their helmet(s) must be presented for inspection during machine examination. 13. RIDING NUMBERS: 13.1. Competitors will be allocated their Motorcycling Australia Registered Riding Number or their preferred riding number if available. All others shall be allocated numbers at the Promoters discretion. 13.2. All number plates on all machines MUST comply with the GCR s. 13.3. Classic and Post Classic machines must have the correct class letter in place as per GCR s. 14. GRID POSITIONS: 14.1 Unless otherwise advised in final instructions or riders brief, first to the pre-grid area has preferred choice with one row across and one machine per gate. 15. RIDERS BRIEFING: 15.1. A Riders briefing will be held prior to the commencement of practice and all participants MUST attend both days. A random roll-call may be used and any rider who fails to attend may be penalised. The riders briefing area is a nonsmoking area. Riders briefing sign-on sheets must be signed by the competitor as confirmation of attendance. 16. DRUG AND OR ALCOHOL TESTING: 16.1. By order of Motorcycling NSW, random drug &/or alcohol testing of participants (i.e. officials, competitors, mechanics, pit crew and any other person associated with the control, direction and operation of the competition) may take place prior to, or at any time during this meeting. 17. CODE OF CONDUCT: 17.1. All participants, officials and parents are reminded of the Motorcycling Australia - CODE OF CONDUCT (as stipulated in the GCR s) which is a guide to appropriate behavior at all motorcycle race meetings. This CODE OF CONDUCT applies to this meeting and shall be enforced. 18. TIMETABLE: Saturday 29 th Sep Sunday 30 th Sep Gates Officially Open: 7:00AM 7:00AM Rider Sign-on and Scrutineering: 7:30AM 10:00AM 7:30AM 8:15AM Officials Briefing: 9:30AM 9:45AM 7:30AM 7:45AM Riders Briefing: 10:15AM 7:45AM Start of Practice: 10:45AM 8:15AM Start of Racing: 12:45PM 9:00AM Presentation: 6:00PM 9:30PM For the purposes of drug & alcohol testing, the commencement of the meeting will be deemed to be 7:00AM each day with the completion of the meeting for the participant being at the completion of racing. 19. CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION: 19.1. Man-made Motocross design complimenting the natural terrain of the track area. 20. STARTS: 20.1. 40 Rider grid with self-penalising rear falling gates. 20.2. MX/SX starting sequence; a 15-second board will be displayed to all riders. At the end of this a 5 second board will be displayed. During those 5 seconds the gate will drop.

21. RACING: 21.1. Practice (The make up of these sessions will be explained at riders brief) a) Saturday i. Senior riders will have 6 sessions. ii. Junior riders will have 2 practice sessions. b) Sunday i. Senior riders will have 3x 2 lap sessions. ii. Juniors will have 1x 2 lap session. 21.2. Racing a) Senior classes will have 3 races. Each race will be 4 laps in duration. b) Juniors will have at least 5 races. Each race will be 3 laps in duration. 21.3. Juniors, >35yo Veteran, >45yo Veteran and Women s class entries are capped at 40 per class. Any Classic and Post Classic classes that have more than 40 entrants will have 2x 3 lap heats resulting in 2 groups for that class. The two groups will be Pro (top half of each heat) and Expert (remainder of each heat). Both groups will then have 3 races and both groups count towards the class State of Origin result along with individual results. 22. NOISE: 22.1. All machines must comply with the requirements of the GCR s 23. PRESENTATION: 23.1. There will be a presentation dinner at the nearby Wauchope Country Club commencing at approx. 6:00PM on Sunday 30 th September. Each rider will receive a presentation dinner ticket as part of their entry fee. Additional dinner tickets are available for $30 each and can be purchased via the entry form. 23.2. There will be Security presence at the circuit during the presentation and buses will be provided to depart the circuit at 5:15PM and depart the country club at approx. 9:30PM. 23.3.
