4. FIRST AID MEASURES INHALATION: Remove to fresh air, rest, treat symptomatically. Obtain medical attention. SKIN CONTACT: Promptly flush contaminated skin with water. Promptly remove clothing if soaked through and flush the skin with water. Continue to rinse for at least 15 minutes. EYE CONTACT: Important! Immediately rinse with water for at least 15 minutes. Contact physician if irritation persists. INGESTION: DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING! Rinse mouth thoroughly with water and give large amounts of milk or water to people not unconscious. Immediately to hospital. 5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: Pressurised water or dry powder. Do not use dry fire extinguishers containing ammonium compounds. FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARD: May form explosive or toxic mixtures with air. SPECIAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT FOR FIRE FIGHTING: Remove the product if it is safe to do so, before using water for fire fighting, in order to minimise hazards from release of toxic fumes. It will often be safer to let the fire burn itself out. Where it is decided to fight the fire with water, large quantities MUST be used. If insufficient water is used there may be an explosion hazard associated with hot damp material. 6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS: ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS: METHODS FOR CLEANING UP: Shovel into dry containers. Cover and move the containers. Flush the area with water. If tablets become damp they will effervesce, evolving carbon dioxide and may decompose to give off chlorine fumes;transfer spillage to unsealed plastic bags avoid any large masses of material within the the bags.

7. HANDLING AND STORAGE HANDLING: Avoid acids, moisture, and combustible materials. Avoid spilling, skin and eye contact. Avoid inhalation of vapours. STORAGE CONDITIONS: Keep in cool, dry, ventilated storage and closed containers. In storage prevent contact with water. Moisture sensitive. CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL COMPATIBILITY. 8. EXPOSURE CONTROL/PERSONAL PROTECTION OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE LIMITS ENGINEERING MEASURES RESPIRATORY PROTECTION: Wear respirator if there is dust formation. HAND PROTECTION: No specific hand protection noted, but gloves may still be advisable. SKIN PROTECTION: Standard protective clothing. EYE PROTECTION: Wear approved chemical safety goggles where eye exposure is reasonably probable. HYGIENE RECOMMENDATIONS: Provide eyewash station. 10. STABILITY AND REACTIVITY STABILITY: Avoid: Heat, sparks, flames. CONDITIONS TO AVOID: Generates toxic gas in contact with acid. MATERIALS TO AVOID: Acids, oxidizing. Acids, non oxidizing. Bases,alkalies (inorganic). Strong reducing agents. HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION PRODUCTS: Very toxic gases/vapours/fumes of: Chlorine. 11. TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION TOXIC DOSE - LD 50: 550.00 mg/kg (oral rat) INHALATION: NaDCC is irritating to the nose, mouth, throught and lungs. INGESTION: NaDCC can cause irritation and or/burns to the gastrointestinal tract. SKIN: NaDCC can cause severe irritation and/or burns, characterised by redness, swelling and scab formation. EYES: May cause impairment of vision and corneal damage. 12. ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION ACUTE FISH TOXICITY: NaDCC is highly toxic to fish. Do not discharge into lakes, ponds, streams or public water unless in accordance with the permit of official regualtions.
