August 1, 2018 Dear Oakmont Art Association Member, The 2018 Oakmont Annual Art Show, ART UNDER THE OAKS, will occur on Friday, October 12 th and Saturday, October 13 th from 11 am to 5 pm at the Berger Center. Here are the following documents for your use: 1. URGENT CALL FOR HELP please volunteer in any category if you are able 2. INSTRUCTIONS TO EXHIBITORS Instructions for exhibitors 3. ENTRY FORM Exhibitors must fill out and submit with art 4. VENDOR ENTRY FORM Vendors must fill out when requesting space 5. VENDOR FORM SHOWING GROSS SALES must remit 10% to OAA 6. LIABILITY FORM each exhibitor must fill out and return to me with your entry 7. ARTIST FORM SHOWING GROSS SALES must remit 10% to OAA. Entry forms are also available in the OAA file at the OVA office, and online for download from the Association website www.oakmontart.com. DO NOT SUBMIT MEMBERSHIP DUES WITH YOUR ENTRY. See Instruction letter attached. As you know, from the net proceeds of the raffle we provide to students at the Santa Rosa Junior College who are continuing their art studies at a 4 year university or college. We look forward to your participation in this wonderful annual event. This year, we have reinstated a print category. They will be displayed as prints in a clearly labelled area of the Show. Our annual 2018 Art Show is almost a reality, and we want and need your help to make this the most successful event at Oakmont. This outstanding exhibit takes a minimum of 80 people working on a variety of jobs so don t hesitate to offer to assist any way you can. Check one or more of the jobs listed below and indicate the days you are available. 2018 ART SHOW INSTRUCTIONS TO EXHIBITORS Each exhibitor or vendor must be a current member of the Oakmont Art Association. Membership forms are available in the OAA file in the OVA office, and for download from the Association s website, www.oakmontart.com. If not a member, dues for the remainder of the year, ending December 31st, 2018, must be separately submitted with the membership form. They are $10.00 per person. (This is a 50% discount for remainder of the year). 1. This exhibit is open to two and three dimensional works in all media including fine crafts. The Oakmont Art Association reserves the right to exclude any work that is deemed inappropriate for this show. 2. Each member may enter up to three works in each category. Categories include; oil, watercolor, acrylic, ink, pencil, pastel, collage, needlework, weaving, sculpture, photography, multi-media works, and prints of works in any media. A clear description must accompany submissions in the multi media category.. 3. Current entries must not have been exhibited in the last three Art Shows. 4. Entry fee is $5.00 per work. 5. Attach labels, shown on the Entry Form, to back of each piece of art. 6. No work may be larger than 36 by 48 inches. Entry Forms are due no later than September 14th, 2018. Entries are to be checked in at the Berger Auditorium on Thursday, October 11, 2018 between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm. Each artist must submit a Check-in/Check-out Form that lists the work they are submitting. 8. Entries must not be checked out until 5:00 pm on Saturday, October 13, 2018. 9. All paintings must be in frames (except for canvas painted on all sides) that are suitable for display and ready for hanging with wire attached one-third down from top of frame. No taped, gummed or sawtooth hangers. 10. Due to space limitations, all works that require a pedestal for display must be for sale. REMEMBER, THE OAKMONT ART ASSOCIATION IS TO BE PAID 10% FOR ANY SALE THAT IS THE DIRECT RESULT OF EXHIBITING IN THE SHOW. If you are not currently a member, download a membership form from www.oakmontart.com and submit the completed form as instructed on the form with a check for $10. Vendors can share a space with another vendor, and/or request 2 card tables in one space, or 1 card table and leave space for a vendor provided print rack.
