Summer Camps at St. An n e s School of An napolis Camp Annapolis AT ST. ANNE S SCHOOL 2014 This summer, St. Anne s School of Annapolis has combined the characteristics of our long running and well loved summer camp with a few new additions to offer campers an exciting and varied day camp experience. Registration Summer camps begin June 16th and ends August 8th. You can register online now at St.AnnesSchool.org. A $25 deposit is required for each week at the time of registration. Refunds minus your deposit will be made if cancellations occur two weeks prior to the start of cancelled weeks. Discounts Returning campers will receive a 3% discount. Register before March 15th for a 3% discount. Register more than one child and receive a 3% discount. Camp Hours Camp runs from 9:00 a.m. each day until 3:00 p.m. Before and After Care Before care begins at 7:30 a.m. n $25 per week ($5.00 per day) After care begins at 3:00 pm and ends at 6:00 pm. n $25 per week for 4:00 p.m. pick-up ($5.00 per hour) n $40 per week for a 5:00 p.m. pick-up ($4.00 per hour) n $53 per week for a 6:00 p.m. pick-up (approx. $3.50 per hour) For more information on 2014 Camp Annapolis Programs please contact Ellen Montoya, Summer Camp Director, at emontoya@st.annesschool.org. Annapolis Study Center Summer Skills Tutoring The Annapolis Study Center at St. Anne s School is pleased to offer specialized tutoring services for students in First through Eighth Grade who may benefit from extra support in academic subjects. Our tutors are education specialists who will provide a tailored support program in the areas of reading, mathematics, writing and study skills. Once registered a tutor will contact you to schedule sessions. If your child is enrolled in camp, the tutor will work with you and the camp counselor for the best lesson time.

Starfish Rising Preschool and Prekindergarten The Starfish programs at Camp Annapolis are designed for children ages 3 and 4, who are toilet trained. Starfish will experience exciting themed activities each week. All Starfish Plus and Starfish Plus All Day campers will attend Mini-Exploration Stations in small groups on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Register for camp online at St.AnnesSchool.org. Counselor In Training (C.I.T)/First Aid and CPR Certification DATES TO CHOOSE FROM: June 16 20 or June 23 June 27 or July 7 11 ONE TIME FEE: $350 AGES: Rising 8th and 9th grade students This is a one week camp to train our future C.I.T s, Junior, Assistant and Lead counselors. It is a pre-requisite for volunteering the rest of the summer. Monday through Thursday campers will be trained in best practices for camp counselors. On Friday campers will attend the weekly field trip with Explorers campers. Once campers have completed one week of training, they may volunteer to work any of the weeks of camp we are in session. Kids work in pairs to solve challenges by building and programming robots using the LEGO Mindstorms NXT Robotics Invention System. Campers will go swimming during the week. Advanced Interactive Robotics DATES: July 28 August 1 TIMES: 9:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m. AGES: FEES: $300 This is a five-day fun and creative learning experience for kids who have advanced experience using Lego NXT and Mindstorm programming software. Students will work in small teams to compete in an interactive robotic competition the last afternoon of camp. Students will learn to design, build and program multiple NXT robots to communicate between each other for the team competition. Campers will go swimming Monday and Wednesday mornings. Must have attended Advanced Robotics. S.T.E.M. Jr. DATES: June 30 July 3 (No Camp July 4) TIMES: 9:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m. AGES: Rising First Third Grade FEES: $250 This is a four day fun and creative science, technology engineering and math experience for younger campers. Campers will work in small groups to build and program WeDo Robots, as well as solve engineering problems. Campers will swim during the week with the Privateers camp group. Animation DATES: June 30 July 3 (No Camp July 4) FEES: $250 August 4 8 FEES: $300 TIMES: 9:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m. AGES: Campers will learn skills needed to create stop-motion animation shorts as well as the fundamentals of computer animation. Beginners will focus on planning, story-line, and animation technology. Campers with stop-motion animation experience will learn more advanced techniques in design and sound.
